I came here to lurk and see why some Islanders fans wanted to trade Dobson from the main boards and I came across this.

I’m sorry what?

Raty is looking like a fine prospect for us and nearly made our team full time. He will likely be our 3C next year if not later this year. And the 1st we got allowed us to grab Hronek who’s been an excellent top 4 RHD for us.
Have to ignore that guy. He's hyperbole incarnate. You got some good pieces for Horvat. It was a good trade for both teams. That's all there is to it.

I don't really understand why the consistent negative "this team sucks" people are not rejoicing in the injuries? This will most certainly mean we'll be far out of it come Thanksgiving and that would be the only possibility that Lou would trade some of these expiring contracts for draft assets at the trade deadline. You guys should be having your Reverse Stanley Cup parade right now! So happy for all of you! Now you can get back to planning your draft parties.

I think it’s possible to be realistic about the state of this team without being constantly negative or glad to see guys injured. I think the team needs a serious retool but can still see positives: Sorokin returning to top form, Lee playing well, Romanov playing like a beast, even Pulock and Pelech (before the injury) were playing very well; Tsyplakov looking like a nice pick up. But that doesn’t change the fact that this team is offensively inept, Dobson has regressed badly, we haven’t seen much progression for Holmstrom or Wahlstrom, our top two forwards are not clicking and probably not really elite offensive players, and there are no prospects knocking on the door. And yet, I watch nearly every game and cheer for them to win.

Kyle MacLean 12 games, 0 points, -7 (+/-) which is team worst.

Following the footsteps of players like Fasching, Andreoff, Czarnik, Johnston and Bardreau.

Shouldn’t we have known the flash in the pan overachievers from the AHL never amount to much long term for the Isles?
I mean they took something that worked (having him play the wing) and threw it out the window immediately. He’s been horrendous. Put him back on Casey’s wing and I’m sure he’ll be fine agajn

The last part is nice. The people being negative do not. Some of them are even liking your post, lol.
