Edge hasn't said anything that make it looks like he is re-signing with us. Everything he said has been the total opposite. Deal on the table but over 10M apart. Not sure what you read.Given the information @Edge gave us, I think so, too.
He said they’re about 10 million apart on a contract and thati missed that what info?
Combination of dollars and years.
Now, I think the Rangers can close that gap somewhat, but Kreider would need to come down on both. If the Rangers go to 7 years, the average salary has to come down --- considerably.
I’d rather give Hajek or Rykov third pair minutes for a third of the cap hit.Has John Moore regressed? He's been a pretty competent 3rd pairing guy most of his career.
If we were to move Skjei, he seems like a reasonable replacement for the third pairing, though his cap hit isn't ideal for that role.
I’d much rather Wahlstrom than these lame packages from Boston or Colorado of Frederic, Kaut or whatever.
Get ready for the collective gasps of 20 resigning. I’m going to love it, on multiple levels.

read in between the lines. 8 figures apart but on 'total' contract. Years is the sticking pointi missed that what info?
For now. He’s just FullTilt NYR rebranded. The guy was, and still is, a total ****ing clown who doesn’t deserve an ounce of credibility. Same goes for every dumb hack that’s associated with that website.
On a lighter note, it’s interesting that we’re carrying 13F at the moment. Tony is healthy again, and Smith is a dual-purpose D/F. I’m kinda surprised they’re carrying 23 players total.
If the Islanders move a big name prospect like Wahlstrom to the Rangers for a rental they have to be convinced he's, like, awful, right?
I don't know if they are, but I'm convinced Wahlstrom is awful.
He's certainly no Kravtsov
Who hurt you?We weren't talking about Kravtsov. We were talking about potentially trading for Wahlstrom. Try to keep up.
Who hurt you?
Fair. I would have also accepted the Devils announcing team and Dylan McIlrath. You did. And I'll never forgive you.
I hope the new CBA limits contracts further. 5year UFA / 6 year re-signing? or special franchise player rights/cap relief.
That team needs Patrick Roy.
Jack Campbell better be there savior.
or GMs could just do their jobs and sign deals that make sense for their team without dummy proofing the system cause they are children that can't help themselves lol
