As I see it, Tony's issues are with America or American politics or whatever, and he's probably going to a Canada team. All the teams that were linked with him in the press were Canadian.

North American hockey exports some of its biggest idiots to the KHL, and I'm not sure those guys ever cause huge problems when they're guests in a foreign country.

Gallant team is big and/or fast typically. Larkin fits the mold and the teams timeline.

Lundkvist/Kravtsov + 15 for Larkin? That hurts but it seems fair

From what little we saw from Kravtsov, I REALLY like the kid. Think he will be a good player. He also replaces Buch.

Lundkvist is one of the best defensive prospects in hockey. With Fox, Trouba and eventually Schneider, he's the logical choice.

If signed, Goodrow gives the team options. He's 52% on face offs for his career (~2000 attempts). If they keep Strome or bring in a new center, Goodrow could easily play on the wing of a center who is less than ideal at the dot. I like it. Options are good.

Wings that can competently play center are like blue liners that can play either side of the defense. Extremely valuable

Take this one with a grain of salt but Ryan is alluding to the fact that Buch may be moved within the next few days (which shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone paying attention)

Now that they got their tuffness in Goodrow, I’d hope that the Buch move is for a center.

I don't know if you've ever been to Seattle but it's not a very friendly place for outspoken Republican Trump supporters. They ain't risking that.
I’ve been. I love the place. I agree that Tony probably wouldn’t.

But real life isn’t Twitter. And people in America don’t know anything about hockey players.

Again, I get it, and you guys are probably right. But I think we overrate some of these perceptions.

Does it matter? Are his words any less valuable because he was traded? What Spooner said was very eye-opening into how Quinn coached this team. Ignoring that because he's no longer on the team is foolish.

I guess if you say so. Spooner though lasted a little over a month in Quinn’s rookie season went to Edmonton and ended in the minors before the season was over and I don’t think he’s seen the NHL since because he struck out there too. Even finishing the season before with AV you could see he was the perimeter player par excellence so let’s not question there was anything wrong with the way he played. IMO this was not a player you could ever go to war with.

On Kakko—his first season with the Rangers he was in over his head. Frequently gassed, knocked over and outmuscled and his play away from the puck was abysmal. I don’t know if some here have in mind turning him into the next Patrick Laine but the Rangers and he worked diligently this past season on improving his two way play and that improvement was dramatic and he will be a much better player for that.
