He has been in the league for 6 years now. The impressive streaks are followed by long droughts. At this stage he should be far more consistent then he is. He very well may get better or maybe he is what he is. Not locking a guy like this for 6 years sorry with this much uncertainty after more than a good amount of time in the league.

He should not have been in the league for arguably the first 2-3 of those years.

He's already gotten better this year and will join the 20G-20A club for the first time.

What's the contingency plan for the "3C" or 2A-2B center spot? If people want to trade him who is replacing him in the lineup?

Moving Goodrow is much easier, a 4th line plumber is someone you can replace with a bargain bin UFA.

So a guy that for the better part of the last 6/7 years is good for 25=30 goals a year (LY not counting) is not consistent but other guys that disappear for 10/15 games at a time get a pass. He is on pace for 30 goals again this year in a down year according to some. When it comes to this board opinion is based on whether people like a player or not instead of actual results.

He's probably "safe" for another year or two.

This PP juggling with Laf on the first unit, if there's serious production from him, that's half of Kreider's appeal. The speed will be replaced with some of the younger guys (Edstrom, Cullye) who will make the overall team speed better.

Goodrow moving is a cap triage move. As simple as that.

If you guys had to pick one... Kane or Tank?

I would lean Tank but I just dont see how he takes a 1year 'team friendly deal' at this point of his career.

Moving Chytil now would be a repeat of the Buchnevich trade, only with negative positional depth behind him.

He’s 23 years old. 3-4 of those seasons in the league were pure development years. If he started in Europe and this was his 3rd season would you feel this way? He’s developing.

I’d imagine Kane or Tarasenko is going to stick around. Older players with something still in the tank.

I also make a point of keeping the kids around as much as possible. That’s you actually build chemistry as a team. If anything I’m imagine Cuylle, Othmann, and Robertson are going to get all the chance in the world to win vacant spots.

If the cap goes up as much as I think it will, I could see Vlad maybe taking a 1-2 year deal. It wont be full market value but that will be up to him.

We have a stacked lineup. The problem is the coaching staff and roster do not mix. The coaching staff is literally letting players 'figure it out'. It's borderline asinine. Everyone wants Kakko with Zibs and Kreider... It's a coaching issue again. Everyone would like the kids scattered through out the top9... it's a coaching decision again. We look disjointed and are an absolute Chinese Fire Drill at 5v5... coaching.

We have a deep top9. We desperately need another PMD... Some fool recommended getting a PMD like Chychrun... That's the biggest need, roster wise, right now, moving forward.

It's either the players figure it out on their own, and we succeed in the playoffs.... or they don't and we finally get a competent 2023 NHL coaching staff next season.
