Based on the trade I would have done Gauthier and 3rd. Joseph and Gauthier are similar all speed and nothing else

Nick Paul, a decent player, wants to stay in Ottawa, a relatively undesirable location, and rather than paying his asking price of 3 mil which is probably slightly above market rate they trade him away for a poor return and then use a 3rd round pick to get Hamonic, a player who literally cleared waivers earlier in the year and has declined horribly. Oh, and Hamonic is being paid that 3+ mil per year that Paul was asking for. Insane.
