I haven't seen enough of Hagel to comment on his play but that whole deal sounds kind of risky to me. Yes, he could represent good value. He could also be Scott Fraser all over again.

I think Copp is the Rangers guy. Utility knife player brings some bite and can play anywhere in the top nine. Prospect and a second or a marginal player. He would really deepen the forward group.

The Rangers already have Tinordi in Hartford as a depth defenseman. Have heard he may go to Edmonton though and if so, they would probably use whatever capital they got for him for another depth defenseman. Nemeth is playing as well as anyone they are likely to trade for. Not spending a 1st for Lindholm.
Look at the Rangers trying to bring all of Trouba’s buddies in :)

Seems like Lindholm is Toronto’s guy. Also seems that Giordano wants Toronto. Wondering aloud if Lindholm winds up a Leaf it pushes Giordano to NY. And if Toronto doesn’t want to pay for Lindholm they pivot to Giordano.

That being said, I’m on record of not wanting UFAs this cycle (which I stand by) but will see what happens.

Don't think Boston is a contender.

Toronto probably is one, but it's hard to look at that team with unbiased eyes after all the struggles they've had getting over the hump.

Florida and Tampa are awesome though.
I can't count Boston out until I see it. They've got the horses and a ton of experience. I don't see them going all the way, but I'll be curious what they end up looking like after the deadline. Give this team a center that clicks with Hall and I think they'll be as in it as anyone. JMHO.

Assuming they think Hagel can keep up the scoring rate he's at this season, the Lightning just replaced Palat for the next 3 playoff runs. Steep price to pay but betting they think they'll have one of the best value contracts in the NHL for the next couple years.

I made a real thread for stuff like this. This is really ridiculous to have 40 pages of chatter and 20 pages of actual news.
No sense filling this thread begging people to post on a different thread. This is where people post stuff. It is what it is. Follow the twitter feeds if that what you want.
