If we trade Kravtsov for Smith, I'd be pissed.

I don't mind taking on some salary from Vegas and/or sending some assets to Buffalo, but a player like Brisson must be coming back.

edit - on 2nd thought, Smith might be a nice player for Zibs and Kreider. Or drop Kakko on that line and have Smith with Panarin Strome. It helps the top6

I don't really see the angle for the Rangers to get in on an Eichel to Vegas deal to help out with salary. It's not like Buffalo is hurting for cap. Dealing Eichel at a full rate would put them $5m under the floor. Smith only makes $3.5m in salary this year after his SB.

Maybe if the Sabres really want Kravtsov and the Rangers flip him for a prospect going to Buffalo.

Thank you once again Gorton and JD.
No. Thank you TDA for being an unprofessional POS. Good thing he's now focusing on hockey, liked him as a player and wish nothing but the best of him. But it's sad to see some fans here still blaming the organization (or Georgiev) for cutting him loose. He ended his career at NYR himself, end of f***ing story.

Oh, you found out the full story, please tell us. Because all I remember are a bunch of false accusations by reporters and fans, with really nothing confirmed.

Nah, you’re missing the whole point. JD and Gorton turned his value into nothing with their ultimatum and their public declaration that he’d never play another game as a Ranger. Why they were so obsessed with destroying his trade value, I’ll never know.

I think you must have carefully ignored the stories that came out explaining the situation. How it was the final straw and all.
I still think it was mishandled and the team morale was shit with Quinn for whatever reason.

Just losing that type of talent for nothing is very poor. Hindsight is 20/20 but it was an over reaction IMO

If ADA was the cause for the locker room strife, I would have agreed. It wasn't true.
If ADA was the reason the team looked like zombies, I would have agreed. It wasn't true.

ADA was not the problem but a symptom. The locker room/team was a mess. Both parties are at fault.
