With Blais out, and even before that the Rangers could definitely use another RW, doesn't even have to be the best of the best but someone who can skate, forecheck and has some offensive ability. Goodrow needs to stay in the bottom-6. Ideally Zibanejad would be able to carry the top line but that's doubtful.

The Canucks have three in Bozo, Horvat and Pettersson, but I doubt they trade them
and they still suck. They got destroyed by the ducks tonight and are 6 games under .500. If Mika was playing like he is capable of playing I don't think the center issue would be as grim as people make it out to be. It can also be debated that Goodrow can play a very decent 3C when needed.

We just need to play the Flyers and the coaches need to go into Covid protocol.

Really would like Tarasenko. The better he plays the less likely he is to be traded unless its for a significant return. Should have pulled the trigger in the offseason.

Thats easy to say in hindsight. We thought right wing was set Kravs, Kakko, Blais, and Goodrow, plus Tarasenko missed a lot of time with shoulder injuries and has a 7.5 mil cap hit for next 2 years. Nobody wanted him and rightfully so.

I wanted him and I was willing to trade Krav for him then. I thought and still think the team is a little too young. I mean we are still like the 4th or 5th youngest team in the league. We were the youngest team for like 2 years in a row. Crazy.

Well, you were in the minority. We are still young but we did add some vets like Goodrow, Reaves, and Blais. I know Tarasenko is playing pretty well but I still don't want him. 7.5 mil cap hit is just too expensive especially after signing Mika and Fox. We will have to find another solution if Blais is out long term.

That's fair. Also, I was and still am only really willing if the Blues retained 2.5 million. Otherwise, yeah, its a bit too expensive.

The Blais injury really sucks. Hopefully Chytil is ready to go and maybe you give Laf another try on the Mika line? I think Laf - Chytil - Goat might be a bit too adventurous to have together so better to keep Goodrow on that third line.

LA has no reason to do that. If they move one of their centers it’ll be for an established all star. It’s not going to be for another young guy. It’s much easier to get young D than it is to get young C
It’s curious how trends change though. 6 years ago the opposite was true with the lack of availability of quality young D prospects.

TBH, that list of “set” RW depth shouldn’t have been considered “set” and I don’t think it’s hindsight to say it either.

I don't think they're going to make a trade just yet with Chytil coming back from injury, especially since it's a good chance to bump Laf back into the top-6 after a good performance yesterday. This is what I'd do for tomorrow, although I'm expecting to see Goodrow back on the Zibanejad line:

Laf-Mika-Kreider
Panarin-Strome-Kakko
Goodrow-Chytil-Gauthier
Hunt-Rooney-Reaves
