The vertigo might explain why he looked flat like 98% of the time when not trying to be opportunistic with a burst of speed for a scoring chance. Physically he might still be a beast, but no one can fight illness.

To me, it comes off as all of these things bothered him throughout the season. Everything just mounted.

No single factor can cause what we saw but yes injuries, illness, depression, disgruntlement probably all compounded with each other.

But the reality is that the team needs major changes, so unless something is in the cards with Panarin (Doubtful) he will probably be off somewhere new.

Probably really cuts into his jersey retirement chances though sadly.

No. Absolutely not. Professional athletes are simply wired differently. Why we want them to be like us normal blokes I don't know.

I've felt this way for a while but I truly think the best thing for this team was for everyone to get away for 4+ months, go enjoy the summer and friends/family, and get away from all of this. Not advocating bringing back the same team as there needs to be changes but everything about this team and organization this year was just too toxic and everyone needs a mental reset to get their own shit in order as well as to get away from this mess. Enjoy the time off, train hard, get your head on straight, and come back to camp in the right mental mindset.

I feel for Kreider. I can appreciate the sentiment in trying to play injured but it’s foolish and he actively hurt the team.

it’s sucks that it’s going to end this way and I hate that it’s come to this.
