It's funny you say this because I know for a fact Goodrow was willing to work with Drury to find a landing spot. But he never heard back from Drury until he was waived. I also know from people who played with Drury way back at Prep that he was always extremely arrogant and rubbed people the wrong way. All this mutiny seems so overblown, especially the stuff you said about the team wanting Laviolette fired.Part of the bad guy GM thing was based on how the reporters were portraying things as they approached the players. You need to remember something that's really important here, the reporters have to deal with the players on a daily basis and maintain a wonderful relationship with the players in order for them to get the content that they need to do their jobs, and the GM is really only accessible a couple of times a year with this organization. He's not a guy that talks to the media every two weeks like some of the other guys. Are people like Vince their bread and butter is maintaining that wholesome relationship with the players and if you go back to a lot of the interviews and listen to how the questions were asked of the players and not just the player response what I'm saying might make more sense. Almost unilaterally the questions that were pitched to the players had a leading component trying to get them to dump all over Drury and meet him out to be the bad guy going back to the summer. I'm not saying that he's perfect by any stretch but I think that the reporting needs to be taken in context
