Looking at Buffalo the only rangers piece that makes sense is Schneider, they have plenty of wingers and LD. Hard to see what else the rangers would need to add.
Agreed. Schneider is the only thing I’d see them being interested in for some of these names being thrown around.

Buffalo isn’t trading any of their good young pieces for a busted up Kreider, would make no sense for them

Sabres getting called soft on national TV as they blow another lead in a 6-5 loss. Kevin with a Y Adams is either hiding under his bed or he's making an aggressively stupid trade before tomorrow is out.

These guys are pro athletes who get enough special treatment simply for existing. However, part of the deal when you play pro sports is very few guys get to set their own terms & even fewer get to spend their entire career in one city. In exchange for that, they get paid more money in one calendar year than the majority of us will see in a lifetime. They also never have to work a real job for the rest of their lives. Sure they get criticized & some of it crosses the line, but they can choose to ignore it & they never even need to know it exists if they stay off social media or don't read the papers.

If he knew the team wanted to move on, what was the point of blocking trades last summer when he could've extricated himself from the situation? Instead he chose to strong-arm the team into bending to his will...which they did. But even that wasn't good enough for him, so he went into the season with a chip on his shoulder & phoned it in while collecting his paychecks. Fans of this team deserve better, especially from a guy whose play hadn't really lined up with his salary in past 2-3 years.

They are also human beings.

Peterka and Power would be a hell of a ballsy move if Drury could pull it off.

But does Power realistically solve any of our D problems? I haven't seen a ton of him this year, but I don't know if he'd be a particularly good partner for a guy like Fox from what I recall.

I think that’s the smart angle. Problem is once we get past the principle pieces, I don’t know what we’d send them. Laf is a different kind of forward for a pretty small and soft forward group (Tage bringing the entire roster up an inch of average height doesn’t count) and Schneider is RD which they need, but after that… they’re loaded with wing prospects. Otthman could be interesting because he’s got more of an edge, maybe? They don’t need LD prospects. Would we add Emery maybe? It seems Buffalo doesn’t want picks or non-ready prospects. I would add too. Just not sure what the play is.
Sykora would definitely generate interest for the type of player they want. They would probably ask about Berard. Jones likely wouldn't have interest even though we know Drury would drive him there himself.
