He's got nothing real to report so he's throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. He bringing up Seth Jones does make me think he'll actually get traded somewhere but I'll be surprised if the Rangers are involved in anyway.

I’m earmarking Vesey for like a 4th in 2027. Of the 3 pending UFA who should be dealt I wouldn’t care if they self rented him for depth bc he won’t return much. Lindgren and Smith need to be dealt asap

Vesey deserves the opportunity to play somewhere and earn himself another contract. For nothing other than that, I'd trade him. He's been a good soldier in NY but it's time to give him another opporunity

PuckPedia cut off the 5th year on their page. I counted 4. Too many years of retention. I am curious what that would cost. How many 2nd round picks?

I tried trading for the 2OA pick in a recent mode and I was frankly way overpaying for it, and they still wouldn't take it.

And then the guy ends up being a 77 who's not good until he's 26 so the game is still stupid.

Somehow, the game has found a system that overvalues everything. Players, picks, prospects, unless they are on your team. Then they are worth nothing.

Here’s the problem statement: We need to take a bunch of UFA dookey plus RFA dookey Jones plus Krieder and somehow turn that into a 3C and 2LD with term and picks (we need a 1LD in FA). It’s like that show that you start with a pen and have to turn it into $1000 in a week. Let’s go Drury you garlic balloon knot.

Not sure what’s available but I’d be happy with a signed Frederic and Soucy, something like that. Donato, Murphy, whatever.

Yeah I remember people made fun of those games for the loopholes you could pull and then they way overcorrected to just being "f*** you" hard.

Free agency is another circus. Guy puts up 55 points and gets multiple offers for $12m+.

I understand people want to be challenged, but ultimately those types of things are an exercise in fantasy, and I liked it better when they were fun.

The only way to get any good value now is to cheat by creating players.

It cost us 2 2nds to dump 2 years of Nemeth @2.5 mil. 5 years @2.375 mil would have to be something significant, though with the cap going up, the cost of retaining will likely go down.

More like a 6th, possibly a 5th if we're lucky

Rempe doesnt play enough. For a team that doesnt draw penalties, he is the best on the team at drawing them. he's no more defensively irresponsible than our top 6.

Rempe draws the most penalties, but he also takes the most by a WIDE margin. 4.38 taken per 60 mins. 2nd highest non-Connor Mackey (with his 2 whole games played) is Sam Carrick at 1.69.

Even with his team leading penalty draw rate, Rempe is in the negative by a not insubstantial amount

I’m sure, but he’s only fought twice this year IIRC (lost both.)

Ejections are penalties but I don’t think they count as extra.
