If Kreider was hurt he would have missed more time or been on IR. He's spent. Father time is undefeated. One of my favorite Rangers but it's time to move on.
again, who the hell are you to make such statements
are you a dr?
back specialist?
either or both w/direct personal knowledge of the situation?

you apparently missed it the first time...

I'm not HF Doc. Just a guy with common sense that knows if yoyr back is truly injured there is no way you should be playing. Sore back? Sure maybe you can tough it out. Injured back? Nope not happening.

I get that injury is your latest excuse for his poor play because your Zibanejad excuse no longer applies, but come on man it's time to face reality.

Tkachuk is Ottawa unquestioned leader. There is absolutely no way they trade him (unless there’s a known issue between a player and organization). Call it intangibles or whatever you want but coming up with a valuable package by Drury is not going to change Ottawa’s position. So whether it is Schneider or Miller is not going to make a difference. Whether it’s Othmann or Berard or both is not going to make difference. Taking it up a level even if there’s a consensus that Fox is a better player than Tkachuk (top-5 D vs forward who’s not even in top-10) without other factors will not get a budge from Ottawa on their position.
Ottawa has no problem with Tkachuk the player. What they may see as a problem is his contract. He has a full no trade starting July 1 for the lasts three years of his contract. That makes him a UFA at 28. Move him by July 1 or you take your chances whether he will still want to be an Ottawa Senator in three years.

you have no idea what his healing regimen is/isn't
none of us do
stop w/false narrative about when and how far he can/can not push himself w/how many/few shifts per game, how hard he can push himself in any given set of mins and does that vary from game to game

remove the beam from your own eye...

So if it's a false narrative about the injury, he just sucks this year?

Lafreniere's play unfortunately has led to these types of trade rumors and conversations. He has not taken the bull by the horns since signing the contract. Drury did not draft him and obviously likes the American born and local guys. Zegras gives us an element we dont have but idk, it would be a ballsy move. My plan would be to trade Laf in a package for Brady T.

Seriously? I will call it a problem in not earlier than 2 years from end of the season while now he’s leading their up-and-coming team to a playoff spot.

Don’t mind Adam Fox or anything

Zegras has had 2 60+ point seasons, a mark Laf has yet to hit. Centers are more valuable than wings. 2M cheaper next year.

It's not *that* crazy. Especially if you're having buyers remorse on a pretty pedestrian Laf year.
On the team with JTM, Zibanejad and Trocheck what center position Zegras would be taking? The point is him being a center doesn’t have much of need from the Rangers perspective. For underperforming asset on a struggling team where he’s misplaced, spending our prime assets is not the way to go. I’m really shocked Uncle Larry would go there.

I think there is something there with the Boston/Kreider rumors. Rangers need a 3C (Frederic) and an opening for Laf on the top PP. Kreider is pouting through his final days as a dead man walking like Zucc did back in the day. How Othmann/Brazeau/Boston's 1st or whoever else would factor in, who knows. Idk how Boston makes it work with the cap either

I just can't imagine Ott entertaining it without Laf (and even with him we'll need to add a bit)
They will most definitely ask for Laffy. I see so much potential in him if he plays with guys like Tkachuk and JTM. Unfortunately, he’s taken on the game of Panarin, Zibs and Kreider. A kids molding his game after our ‘offensive’ core. You replace that and there’s a good chance you see a different player

A package starting with Gabe and Schneider shouldn’t be that far off.
