Lindgren will likely have a Stanley Cup ring ahead of Fox .......HAHAHA......who would have thought that ? It would be hilarious .
Who gives a shit if it's not with the Rangers?

I have to agree....it's all out of our hands . Somedays I don't think the Rings matter to most of them anyways.....the money they make . They think of themselves only for the most part .I don't care who gets a ring. I gave up on the idea of this sport having any justice when the Caps won the Cup in 2018 playing like shit the entire playoffs.
How denre you.Way to basically guarantee he will win it. So many times I've seen experts on this board claim you can't win with some dude and 2 years later there he is lifting the cup.

This, Bingo bango.Lindgren I agree. Yeah, remember all those times last year when opposing players went around Trouba like he was standing still? A lot of those times Miller wasn’t even in the TV picture. Where was he. Miller lost the Colorado game in the last 14 seconds with a poor decision. I counted 3 goals in the 6-3 Boston game where his decisions caused odd man rushes the other way. He plays D by letting his man get by him to the outside, then he latches on with his left arm and tries to poke check the puck with his right. Sometimes he is successful and it’s a great play. Other times not so much, and it leads to another cross ice pass for a league leading cross ice pass goal against. He pinches when he should stay back. He’ll body his man while leaving his partner alone for a 2 on 1. My wife can tell you how many times this year I yelled at the TV saying “what are you doing” and it’s usually Lindgren or Key I’m yelling at. Incredible talent. Incredibly poor decision maker. Not our biggest problem, but we won’t win a cup with him. Other teams will take a chance on him. He’s our best trade chip. Do so before we have to pay 7 mil per.
This. Lindgren is still and effective player. He’ll be a good add to a quality team. That’s why he’ll have trade interest. It's not Lindgren's fault he is saddled with Fox.....any other team would have him on the third pairing where he does not have to do the heavy lifting for his slight of frame , slow wheeled offensive minded partner . I'm not sure why Dummy coach continues with it....but blaming Lindgren for playing that far up the roster is kind of ridiculous .
He would be more efficient if he had less minutes in a 3rd pairing situation . The time has come to move Schneider up to play with Fox or move Miller up and Schneider to takes that bump and play with Borgen........and if that does not work....move Miller or Schneider....Go Lavi.....

Arthur Staple and Peter Baugh
Lindgren will restock the Rangers draft pick coffers. The Rangers might be better off packaging Lindgren and Reilly Smith together. Retain 50% on each player. That's the common trend in the last few seasons. The Rangers and Blues trade. Tarasenko and Mikkola. Ryan O'Reilly and Acciari. Orlov and Hathaway. McCabe and Lafferty. The last 3 trades needed a 3rd party broker. Minnesota was the 3rd team broker. Granlund and Ceci this year. There was no retention from SJ. They have no slots left. I read an article in the Athletic by Arpon Basu on Evans and Armia. Both players will be free agents this summer and they are really good on the PK together in Montreal. Arpon spoke to an NHL exec who agreed with his idea of packaging both players in a trade.
Dallas already traded away their 2025 first round pick to SJ. Colorado needs help on D. The Avs traded their 2025 first round pick to rent Sean Walker last year but they made the Flyers take back Ryan Johansson's $4M but they waived him and terminated his contract. Edmonton needs a right handed D. They also traded their 2025 first round pick to the Flyers for a 2024 first round pick 32nd overall. Florida needs help on D. They have no money and no first round pick in June. Traded in the Tkachuk trade. LA? They have cap space and a first round pick in June. The Wild have Kaprizov's long term IR money but he should be back before the season ends. Minnesota traded their first to Columbus. Caps? No. Vegas? No. Maybe they want Smith by himself. Toronto? They want a center. They have no 2025 1st. Winnipeg? They also want a center. They have a 2025 1st. TB? No. They have no 2025 1st.
2026 first round pick is the better option.

He plays tough, heart on his sleeve and leaves it all out on the ice.
Tanner Boyle played tough until he got stuffed in a garbage can. This is the kind of shit I can only laugh at.
None of this makes him good or even an effective player. These are all platitudes that are applied to players who are not good but people want to prop up for whatever reason.
I only pay because it's a $1 a month. Any higher than that, no thanks. The Athletic writers are complete shills. Sometimes I really wonder why I pay for it.
Several GMs will 100% think that, and paired with the fact they will likely be playing him in the bottom 4 with sheltered minutes also makes him more attractive.I absolutely believe that Lindgren will generate trade interest because he's TUFF.
Good. Trade him then.

The funny thing is he isn’t really even that TUFF.
I watched him hot potato a puck weakly around the boards instead of eating it with 6 seconds left around Boston which led to a decent scoring chance because he didn’t want to eat the hit he would have taken. That’s the opposite of TUFF.
He lacks strength now to win board battles or box out forwards out of the crease area. His only remaining toughness comes from throwing himself in front of a puck (if he's able to get himself into that spot which is not a guarantee). The funny thing is he isn’t really even that TUFF.

If it wasn't for HF, I don't think I would watch hockey religiously anymore. I certainly don't if it's not the Rangers.Maybe this isn't for you bro.![]()

Any gathering of people is prone to idiocy.Well HF is turning into Facebook now we have people saying that Fox is weighing Lindgren down.
Yeah that's pretty much it. That's enough for GM's to believe.I'm not even sure where Ryan Lindgren being 'tough' comes from?
All he does is bleed from his face and on the scoresheet. The toughest thing he does is wear shorts in the winter.
