He missed like two games with the "back issue" in January. He's playing in the four nations tournament next week. The back is a made up issue based off of one interview. At absolute most it's a minor annoyance.

See what you have now to make better decisions in the summer. Maybe Panarin or Z goes, but i don't think that roster is far off in the sense that it has the bones to make a playoff threat. Perreault joins and replaces Kaliyev and plays with Z and cuylle. Moves berard to that 3rd line and now the top 9 is cooking.

I'd add Maata. Cheap and can play with Fox. Puts Miller back with Borgen and they have been good enough. Vaak is a perfect 7. Add another proper LD (Gavrikov) and 25-26 is looking good. And bunch of cap for...McDavid. As is his birthright.

Not to mention the good picks to restock the prospect pool from the trades.

Don't be a coward Drury. This is the reset that can get this team and culture back in the right direction.

As for Lavi, I don't know. Peca has a good mind for the game. Maybe just make him the HC. He's a tough SOB like Rod. And this team would be way more fun to watch cause at least all the players in there want it.

Trocheck is a much better player now than Zibanejad. I think Mika will be very difficult to move and if he stays he's likely to spend a good amount of his time on the wing. I also think Jones is getting moved as well. The writing's been on the wall for him for a long time and I don't think the Rangers have all that much faith in him as a player.

If we move out Kreider, Smith and Lindgren without taking $'s back we should have a lot of shopping money when free agency opens up in July. Not necessarily the best free agent class but we should be able to add a couple decent defensemen which might go a long way towards a better next year.

Yeah I don't think it's as major an issue as some are making it out to be. If he were to sit out this tournament that would at least signal it was. Injury or not Kreider has had a bad season. Not quite as bad as Mika though.

I would take Trocheck at 8 million over 93 at 5 million. It's not even close.

Mika hasn't played even like a $5mil player though. Much of this year it wasn't just his offensive production was down.......his play away from the puck was atrocious and plays he personally made probably cost us several games. Yeah he's been kind of a better the last month or so but it's also kind of too late. Our season seems dead already.

It seems to me that some of our guys can't wait for this season to be over with.

I am curious, do you have any stats to back those statements or is it just the "eye test"?

Because what you are saying goes against all kind of analytics. Both in regards to Trocheck being the better player "now" and the statement that Kreider has had the better season.

Agree 100% w this. Next year we will see why the JT trade was made. This season is a complete mess. Need to clean out the locker room and add players who will help JT and Tro win.

What the f*** do you know? You dont even watch the games. Just the other day you made a statement that Kreider is being forced into the lineup so he can prop up Mika and then went quiet when you got called out on the fact that Mika and Kreider are not on the same line.

Ya think maybe feed him meaningful PP minutes to get his confidence/offensive juices going??? Seems like he’ll be here for the long haul. I agree, not a great year for him, but you’re paying him to be an offensive point getter.

I was more than fine starting the season with him on the first PP unit. In fact he did get some reps on PP1 when Mika was really struggling, but he did less than nothing with the opportunity. Not that I don't think that the knucklehead coach went back to Mika a bit too soon when the PP didn't improve.

Fast forward to the present & yes I have a huge problem handing him a spot now when he's shown so many lazy traits, specifically in his own end where he refuses to backcheck. His biggest issue is that he keeps imitating his linemate who is also immune from accountability, but is a turnover machine with the worst lazy habits on the team.

Maybe if he was disciplined or sat for a game a two, then comes back moving his feet while being fully engaged for more than a week, I'd have no problem giving him another shot with the 1st unit. Until I see some of that laziness coached out of him, he's just another member of this entitled core who got paid, then checked out.
