I guess the timing couldn't have worked out better for Igor. He's also 1-4 in the last five I believe.
Smith is attractive to a team like WPG due to his PK prowess, and the fact that he is a proven and productive playoff performer.Reilly Smith peaking for the deadline, 1 goal in his last ten games with 11 shots on goal.
Quick will start tonight, I'm sure, and then Igor should be back after the break. Igor would have to miss at least 2 games after the break for Garand to get a start.Hope Garand actually gets to start a game.
Sell. Sell. Sell.
They should get some nuts and move Kreider this year . It’s Inevitable imo so don’t wait
If by rushed you mean dumb and shortsighted, yesIs it wrong to say that the JT trade seemed rushed?
Is it?

zib outI think so
This season screams changing the room
Get a RW and C
Next year
Panarin , Miller , Zib
Laf, Tro , RW
Cuylee , C , Othmaan/Perrault
Edstrom , Carrick , Rempe / Berard
This trade was made for the future in mind. Drury, I'm sure was hoping maybe JTM could help them make a playoff push for this year, but that would've been a bonus, not the long term goal of the deal.It took a month and a half. Nothing rushed about it. Complete win for the Rangers. Too bad he's coming to play for a shitbag team with no heart.
Crazy how Mika loses every single puck battle. Anytime there’s a 50/50 scrum along the boards, you already know the other team will get the puck. Send him to Chicago so he can play pond hockey with Bedard.
Panarin actually wins a lot of puck battles. His level of compete for loose pucks is impressive considering his size. But you’re right in regards to him playing pond hockey. He’s arguably the best pond hockey player in the league.Panarin is even worse in this regard.

Again no on bum's rush to CKThe team should look very different after the break. Kreider, Smith, Vesey, Lindgren all can go. Call up Othmann, Berard, Brannstrom. See if that sparks them in the 8 games before the deadline. Nothing has changed in regards to team needs. Mika and Panarin are summer decisions.
See people said the same thing about trouba, and once trouba was gone it was a mess until borgen came in and stabilized things a bit on the second pairing. Lindgren is not ideal but there seems to be an idea that it can't get worse on this d. It's funny bc I have heard Canadian media and former NHL scouts refer to lindgren as a very good NHL d man having a bad season. If that's the case then maybe nyr will have an opportunity to cash in on a trade. Still waiting to see who nyr trades for that new top pair ld. Chychrun trade to Washington was all about Jensen and finding the right pairing for chabot. Maybe nyr gets lucky and someone else is looking for the same type of trade. Would like all the excuses for fox's defense to start going away.interesting because the very player we’re discussing here didn’t return anything close to Perreault.
There absolutely were people who thought Lindgren was a better fit because of the “role” he plays.
It didn’t have to be chychrun though. Detroit gave up a 2nd to move Walman and that would have been an upgrade plus an asset. Signed for less than Lindgren as well and they can get him now if they want to give up more than they really should or would have needed to over the summer.
It’s been rehashed a billion times, it’s not hard to upgrade on this player because almost anyone would be an upgrade. They don’t even have to get rid of him to upgrade on him, they just have to not play him and play someone else.
Set the clock back less than a year and imagine Rangers did this trade for JTM then and then extended him. The trade is a no-brainer win.It took a month and a half. Nothing rushed about it. Complete win for the Rangers. Too bad he's coming to play for a shitbag team with no heart.
zib out
ck stays

I think they're looking for a way for him to retire a Ranger without trading him.You think they can move the Zib contract ?
It’s too long
Kreider Will have more value currently even if he’s struggled
