He’s a PPG winger now?Zibanejad at wing makes perfect sense to me, especially since he sucks at center.
3C is a lot easier of a hole to fill than 1RW.
If the move to wing helps him get back to shooting, playing in straight lines, and frankly keeps the puck off of his stick a little more, then there's potential Zibanejad finds some mileage there.
8.5mil for a PPG winger isn't really bad all things considered. It's not like we're flush with RW anyway.
Drury GM of the year finalist?
or what I said coupla posts upI'd offer Miller a long term deal. 7 years @ $5.5m per season. Lock it in
The leak that other teams were offering 3m/6y should've been immediate collusion charges.Goodrow’s agent should get an award too.
There's no need to invest in 3C when the wings are the likes of Kreider, Smith, Kaliyev and Vesey.
Would Canes move Orlov? He's paid alot and a pending UFA. Lindgren for Orlov? Canes are close to capped out.
People said for two years replace Trouba with literally anyone.Name me the #6 dman better than lindgren. Im not asking complicated questions here
Do you think teams can get two better players than lindgren and Smith if they will trade a first?I never said he’s good, I said his reputation will carry his value (which is most likely higher than just a 2nd prob a 2nd & 5th or a low level prospect), and the bigger return is not just him returning that value it’s him and smith (who GMs will prob still want because of Stanley cup success). It’s a very similar deal to granlund & ceci. Which returned a 1st and a 3rd. Pretty much the same deal but instead of picks you're getting a benched ufa d & a prospect that’s closer to nhl ready than a 1st round pick.I'm not saying I think Lindgren is worth that much but some GMs out there will over value his locker room presence and give it all attitude no matter how poorly he plays.
Even on 32 thoughts Friedman mentioned teams will be more willing to go all in this year and give up 1sts if they get 2 players instead of one.
If he feels that this season is a fluke and Miller is not a one year asset then it's different. Didn't he trade a first rounder for Tarasenko? Isn't that a better argument?
Brooks claims the Rangers would beaten TB and Florida in the playoffs if Miller was on the team.
The Rangers D group needs to get better.
Cuylle will benefit being around Miller.
The Rangers are looking for a 3rd line center.
I would like to see Othmann here eventually. He has the dawg mentality too.
How is Wallman costing Othmann? Decent player, but for Othmann? How much would Walman cost?
Considering we have very little to offer, it’d probably be Othmann +
What’s the deal with Othmann anyway? Is he a PP specialist?
I'd trade 3 of those guys and call up Othmann and Berard. Get younger, faster and more tenacious. The difference in the way Miller attacks a loose puck compared to the rest of the team sans a few guys is shocking. Get more of those young guys in there. Maybe worse now, but better tomorrow. There's no need to invest in 3C when the wings are the likes of Kreider, Smith, Kaliyev and Vesey.
How is Wallman costing Othmann? Decent player, but for Othmann?
I have read excerpts from LB on that podcast. Who would be the 3C options? Gourde is on an expiring contract and currently hurt? Nashville has been a mess this season after all the money spent, would RoR be a target? Kreider-RoR-Cuylle could be a heavy line. Maybe RoR and Cuylle wake that side of Kreider up.
4th line, who would be the options there to upgrade Rempe with someone who could move up to 3rd line minutes in the event of an injury. Rangers need a pesky forward that agitates playing physical with suffocating play.
I feel like the D market is thin. Which is why dealing Lindgren would make most sense. His “warrior” allure coupled with great playoff experience could generate a lot of interest. Problem is you would need a replacement. Jones and Brannstrom dont seem to be answers. Wallman would be interesting. Who else
I just don't see it happening with Othmann... hopefully I'm wrong.. I just don't think it's going to work. He has the tenacity and shot but we need drivers and skaters. How is Wallman costing Othmann? Decent player, but for Othmann?

It may not happen here for Othmann but currently he still has his value and I just think that Wallman wouldnt cost us Othmann. The NHL hasnt seen Othmann get bottom 6 PP2 minutes yet so his value has not diminished… yet.I just don't see it happening with Othmann... hopefully I'm wrong.. I just don't think it's going to work. He has the tenacity and shot but we need drivers and skaters.
He wont sniff PP time. He's not playing with JTM or Panarin. He'll be treated just like Kakko. 10-12 minutes with Brodz as his center.
Walman is a top4LHD and is under contract at a great value next season. We're 'all-in'.... as in, the org is looking to win the next 2-3 seasons. We can't be 'all-in' when Lindgren is on your team, let alone top pair.
People said for two years replace Trouba with literally anyone.
Drury replaced him with Will Borgen and it made the team significantly better.
You're not getting complicated answers here.
