They don’t have a better option for top pair than Lindgren, unless they move Schneider to that spot on his off side.

I expect Lindgren will get moved, and a replacement acquired and then in the offseason Drury will try to upgrade the D.

With the cap space now and no UFA of note, I wouldn’t be surprised if Drury tried to shuffle some money around and bring in Frederic, Bennett, and Chychrun.

Yes they do.

Miller was way better but Lavi had to break that pair up bc loves RL. Any of the other D on the NHL roster would be better.

Branstromm who has been traded and waived a bunch of times would be better and I’d bet Ruhweedel would be better too.

This doesn’t mean all of those guys are ideal or even good options , but they’re better.

I don't think there are any words to describe how bad he was in this game.

Geekie couldn't hit the widest open net ever which saved him from getting mother f***ed by everyone instead of half of us because all 80% of this place remembers are bad plays that result in goals against.

They will if/when they're 8+ points out on TDL day.

They have 11 games between now and then and realistically if they want to stay in the hunt (not even be in a spot) they probably need to win, at minimum, 8 of those games.
I mean, it is really emphasized because of how much our complete idiot coach keeps putting him out there, but I cannot strongly say enough how terrible of a player he has been. I think the Rangers could be given the best forward corps in the NHL and if Lindgren continues to be used like this they still would be a middle of the pack team. It is insane the absolute negative impact he has on this team.

Thats extreme because they just ran off a quality run with him being as bad as he's been all year.

I do think he would single handedly keep an elite team from winning the cup if deployed the way he's been here. He may even be able to accomplish that in a bottom pairing role where... he also ate plates of shit when he was deployed that way in the 3 seconds he got those minutes this year.

and they won't so why... WHY THE f*** are we dealing any youth & futures for anything.

This org is rotten top to bottom.

No idea why I root for this team at all.

It's sad & pathetic

Narratives? The f*** are you talking about. Canucks GM just went on a radio show and confirmed to the sports world he was a problem. When JT left the Rangers he admitted he was uncoachable and a distraction. Tampa is the only place where I think just the beat reported issues. Thats not a narrative. Thats what f***ing happened.

First thing I thought. Haha
I mean the GM said the situation was an issue between the two. Did you expect him to blame the player that he kept on the team? When he left but he was young and arrogant and has admitted it. Tampa wasn't a fit but he actually grew up there being around actual leaders. This team has no spine or identity so let's shit on a guy that comes here bringing spine and identity. Never change hfnyr

He lost us the game with his braindead selfish boarding penalty. Ok, he lost a step he never had in the first place. So he has negative steps. How does that make him take the dumbest penalty while shorthanded? Just a stupid stupid play. Dude he boarded was no threat at all.

Watching the game today, I don't know how they'll not go 0-11. Would help if Laviolette didn't put out the dumbest lineup out there.

Chychrun would be huge imo…but he loves playing in Washington right now. Obviously winning helps that, but I’m sure it’ll come down to the $$$

Here's what drives me crazy about all of the people that want to blow up the team.

They assume close to perfect trades where we get top value for our players. First of all, usually we don't. Second of all, one trade like the McDonagh/Miller trade can set your whole franchise backwards. Maybe Miller is not a great example because he was young but we didn't even get enough for McDonagh. But point is you want trades but only trades the Rangers win. Draft picks that don't bust. Meanwhile we had 2 top two picks in 2019 and 2020 and ended up with Kakko and Lafreniere. This yearning for a complete rebuild and there's probably a better chance we have nothing to show for it like we did last rebuild than we become the new Penguins or Lightning. BTW, two of the Lightning's best players were a late first rounder (Vasi) and a second rounder (Kuch). Point was also not a first rounder. Blackhawks had Keith, Penguins had Letang.

I wish Othmann was called up. He can learn a lot from Miller. Similar style of player. I’d love to see a Cuyle Miller Othmann pain in the ass line

I really thought Miller would play with Smith and Cuylle. And the diminished but still good Trocheck line. But no we had to keep Mika on the top line. Laviolette really is more interested in being loyal to Mika than saving his own job.
