Everyone is ignoring that we sent JT Miller to the pokemon daycare development center

We traded away JT in a trade that brought a 1st back, then he got nice and developed into 1st line high scoring center, and we pay a 1st back - ez money

Kicked off? Narratives are so fun sometimes and so misleading.
Narratives? The f*** are you talking about. Canucks GM just went on a radio show and confirmed to the sports world he was a problem. When JT left the Rangers he admitted he was uncoachable and a distraction. Tampa is the only place where I think just the beat reported issues. Thats not a narrative. Thats what f***ing happened.

That's 3 f***ing Petterssons
First thing I thought. Haha

It will be easy enough to tell them apart
Yeah, K'Andre is taller.
none of this makes sense if you don't replace lindgren.
None of it makes sense if we can't move Mika.

Or, to look at it another way. We gave Miller away for basically nothing, he played his prime years for other teams, and now we've paid to get him back when he's likely in decline.

Everyone else is playing chess and we're playing pong.

With the Cap going up we are back to the good old days of buying a championship. We didn't get lucky with the 1oa and 2nd oa picks so now we go big game hunting for 3 years. Marcus getting our 1st rd pick shows how much we stole JT. Its a new 3 year window till JT can be moved. Get some grit and grime established as a core value and lets roll the dice. We need a a big, mobile LD for Fox. Move 20 and 55 to recoup some assets. I am 64 any 1st rd picks will not do it for me. Get established players and lets try to win 16 games in the playoffs.

That didn't really happen though. There were teams like Detroit who spent money no doubt, but they were also run exceptionally well. They kept winning after the salary cap was introduced. Teams like Toronto and Rangers who also spent money, couldn't win championships and didn't even come close really (except for 1994).

Trade Kreider, Lindgren and Smith for picks and prospects.

Jones and pick for Maata.
Call up Berard and Othmann. Call up Ruhwedel.

Panarin-Tro-Laf
Cuylle-Miller-Othmann
Berard-Z-Kaliyev
Ed-Carrick-Rempe

Maata-Fox
Miller-Borgen
Vaak-Schneider

Do this f***in soon and start kicking tires on some 3rd line guys. Maybe frederic. Maybe not. Maybe they play good.

Trim the fat. Get younger. Get faster. Get hungrier.

I sure hope someone tells Cale to shoot softer soon ☺️

He may not be a 100 point guy but 80 is still good.
If you think using the best offensive defensemen as your definitive answer is fair and valid there's nothing I can do for you. And your continued use of "softer" is bullshit anyway. Why don't we call them More accurate and less accurate?

In a vacuum it’s a great value trade, especially with the cap increase. BUT it’s JTM lol. It’s really weird to bring him back.

I’ll be shocked if we miss the playoffs so not really concerned about the 1st. The only thing is what the he’ll to do with this defense.

At this point we're really between a rock and a hard place. If we're missing the playoffs, we absolutely have to be picking either Top 8 or 14-16. 9-13 is a disaster area.

Next step has to be getting rid of *at least* one of Zibanejad, Kreider or Lindgren.

Somehow I doubt the GM who just traded for a 32 year old to try to make a run to the playoffs is going to be selling off anymore pieces from the roster this season. So that means forget about getting value for the rentals and Kreider and Zibanejad aren’t going anywhere until the offseason at the earliest.

and that's the buzz kill.

Watching Lindgren, Kreider and Zibs just suck the rest of the year. Maybe this sparks Kreider? Maybe a miracle takes place after the 4 Nations break and everyone is closer to normal... Well except Lindgren, this is his normal.

Cool. So to my first point, we'd better finish either bottom 8 or 14-16. Otherwise we just gave up a likely high-end pick in a much better draft, and Vancouver will have f***ed us even harder than they already did.

People make too big of a deal of the conditions. Do you think Vancouver even cared much about them? They turned around and traded the pick away a few hours later. They probably won't finish bottom 11 this year, and even if they do, they still probably won't next year either. It's not that big of a deal.

Pretty frustrating that after JT and the Canucks did everything they could to drive his value as low as possible over the past week, this is basically the deal reported to have been on the table a week ago (Fil, prospect, protected first).
this is bargain value. it was never going lower.

I care because I follow the draft more closely than most folks on here, and as I've been saying it's an 8 player draft. The condition makes me worry the Rangers feel differently
