I mean if we're seriously ass this season. We get a high draft pick. We likely then are able to really be true contenders next year, which gives the penguins an absolutely shit pick.
Both work here. Worst case scenario is 12th overall.
Why?lmao f*** this. Drury should be hung in times square.
Narratives? The f*** are you talking about. Canucks GM just went on a radio show and confirmed to the sports world he was a problem. When JT left the Rangers he admitted he was uncoachable and a distraction. Tampa is the only place where I think just the beat reported issues. Thats not a narrative. Thats what f***ing happened.Kicked off? Narratives are so fun sometimes and so misleading.
First thing I thought. HahaThat's 3 f***ing Petterssons
Yeah, K'Andre is taller. It will be easy enough to tell them apart
None of it makes sense if we can't move Mika.none of this makes sense if you don't replace lindgren.
Or, to look at it another way. We gave Miller away for basically nothing, he played his prime years for other teams, and now we've paid to get him back when he's likely in decline.Everyone is ignoring that we sent JT Miller to the pokemon daycare development center
We traded away JT in a trade that brought a 1st back, then he got nice and developed into 1st line high scoring center, and we pay a 1st back - ez money
That didn't really happen though. There were teams like Detroit who spent money no doubt, but they were also run exceptionally well. They kept winning after the salary cap was introduced. Teams like Toronto and Rangers who also spent money, couldn't win championships and didn't even come close really (except for 1994).With the Cap going up we are back to the good old days of buying a championship
If you think using the best offensive defensemen as your definitive answer is fair and valid there's nothing I can do for you. And your continued use of "softer" is bullshit anyway. Why don't we call them More accurate and less accurate?I sure hope someone tells Cale to shoot softer soon
Makar starts off Avalanche with SHG | NHL.com
Cale Makar takes advantage of a turnover, speeds in and slaps a shot in from just outside the circle for a short-handed goal, making it 2-1 in the 2nd periodwww.nhl.com
He may not be a 100 point guy but 80 is still good.
Somehow I doubt the GM who just traded for a 32 year old to try to make a run to the playoffs is going to be selling off anymore pieces from the roster this season. So that means forget about getting value for the rentals and Kreider and Zibanejad aren’t going anywhere until the offseason at the earliest. At this point we're really between a rock and a hard place. If we're missing the playoffs, we absolutely have to be picking either Top 8 or 14-16. 9-13 is a disaster area.
Next step has to be getting rid of *at least* one of Zibanejad, Kreider or Lindgren.

Cool. So to my first point, we'd better finish either bottom 8 or 14-16. Otherwise we just gave up a likely high-end pick in a much better draft, and Vancouver will have f***ed us even harder than they already did.
this is bargain value. it was never going lower.Pretty frustrating that after JT and the Canucks did everything they could to drive his value as low as possible over the past week, this is basically the deal reported to have been on the table a week ago (Fil, prospect, protected first).
Vancouver got f***ed. 2026 pick will be in the 20s. Rangers are better today. get over itCool. So to my first point, we'd better finish either bottom 8 or 14-16. People make too big of a deal of the conditions. Do you think Vancouver even cared much about them? They turned around and traded the pick away a few hours later. They probably won't finish bottom 11 this year, and even if they do, they still probably won't next year either. It's not that big of a deal.
And all it cost to downgrade was a first round pick and one of our handful of d prospects!
