Value is okay but this is a desperation move by Drury . They didn’t remove any of the tumors.

They did manage to get rid of one of the few skill players on this club (even if he was fragile) in exchange for more character.

Miller is a long term piece for the Rangers despite his age. 5 year contract. Cap skyrocketing. He and Trocheck will be the veteran leaders for the young and up and coming core. They will outlast Kreider, Panarin and hopefully mika. Now time for Drury to find a partner for Fox and a young center.

JT isn't going to magically turn this team into a contender. Not having to wince any time Chytil takes contact is kinda nice I guess. Mancini is okay but nothing special. 1st should be middle of the pack as we either just miss the playoffs or 1st rd exit.

Hate seeing Chytil traded and don’t like moving first round draft picks but this is shaping up as a pretty one sided trade in the Rangers favor.

Someone said there's no sentimentality in hockey. I love Fil but the one step forward two steps back in his career trajectory was a strain. Maybe it would've been mid February to see him get going again and then probably another setback. The last time he sat out he didn't even suffer a hit. Would love him to finally come out and explain what's been ailing him.
