I think Chris Kreider would be an excellent fit for Chicago
Bill Torrey was loyal to his Islander guys because they won 4 straight Cups. There is but only if you’ve won at least 3 championships as a major piece
hell to the noYes but none have been as useless as Kreider
concurWhy would you buyout Panarin? We're not saving much. Subtracting Panarin and adding nobody only makes sense if you think the team is magically going to all play differently and be better for it. They aren't going to trade buy him out to tank before the season starts.
no, sorryCan we f***ing stop talking about Kakko in here already?
well... that's a horse of a different color!I guess this is where I should have used that sarcasm emoji you suggested.
Playing proper hockey. I tuned into Seattle v Washington the other night and the pace was mindblowingly fast compared to your typical Rongo game. Neither team is particularly fast when you look at the players, and there wasn’t a whole lot of scoring chances either way, but the pace of play, quick puck movement , and energy is just in a different universe. And really it’s all teams. Turn on a random non-Rangers game and you’ll see .I don't really like the way we run development (or at least what we see of it and the results), but it's interesting to see how it's viewed by people.
We rush prospects (Lias, KK, Laf, Chytil), but then we don't (Krav, Othmann, Miller, Cuylle, Krieder, Buch, Stepan).
We don't give them enough opportunity (KK, Krav?, even Chytil), but then Laf is stapled to the Panarin line, Buch to CK/Mika, Stepan was top-6 from the off and Cuylle is 4th in 5v5 ice time.
Sometimes it seems to work (Buch, Miller, Stepan, Chytil, Kreider, Cuylle is looking good)
Some times it's a bit 'meh' (you can question whether Laf and KK have 'developed' at all)
Sometimes it doesn't work (Lias, Krav) but is that the org or the player?
So what aren't we doing that other teams do, other than picking better players?
In reality that is where Kreider should be playing on the 4th line and move Edstrom up for a few games and see what he can do with more talented players and more ice time....let's see what Edstrom has got in the tank . We already know what Kreider can and can't do these days . This way we find out what we need in trades moving forward .Kreider has 2 whole points than Carrick. Lets let that sink in. Carrick who plays no PP time and gets 9 minutes a game.
We're the slowest f***ing team in the league. Practice pace in a real game.Playing proper hockey. Agree that speed is an issue and has been for a while. But we must have been playing some proper hockey at some point, right? 2 x ECFs and President's Trophy. Yeah there's luck and matchups and whatever, but if we develop poorly and can't play proper hockey, WTF is the rest of the league doing that we've been able to achieve that, and be only 1.5 games out of a playoff spot?Playing proper hockey. Well....it does not help when your top puck lugging Dman is barely fast enough to beat your granny . That is where it starts....slow puck movement slows down wingers and outside of Chytil we don't have many luggers . It is a problem . I think Miller could lug it but he seems too nervous in doing so . Kreider did it before but also lost a step and now just gets to the blueline and throws it away . This team is bad in a lot of areas at the moment .Playing proper hockey. I tuned into Seattle v Washington the other night and the pace was mindblowingly fast compared to your typical Rongo game. Again, it’s not necessarily about the skating speed of the playersWell....it does not help when your top puck lugging Dman is barely fast enough to beat your granny . Imo put Cuylle Chytil and Lafreniere together, play them as the 1b line, see what happens when the three of them are playing without the pressure of playing with older players.
This team is a f***ing chore to watch. I encourage everyone to watch other games if you can, we are not even close to what most teams are doing. We're the slowest f***ing team in the league. Practice pace in a real game.
I'd say most of that was Igor, mike -- especially the ECFs.Agree that speed is an issue and has been for a while. Igor and his .912 S% is the reason we won a President's Trophy? C'mon...I'd say most of that was Igor, mike -- especially the ECFs.
