What about Edstrom ? Laf might be OK...we don't get a lot right now from him no matter where he is .We need to get a back up plan then. It’s been memed but I’d try Laf at center

He plays 5 min b'c stupid mgmt favors vets, has been a trend for years, they keep losing doing that, and until they bend, buckle and break on that, it will continue
On that item Rempe is a victim, not a cause
Vesey has been dead for a while and should have been gone since last season
he no longer has enough motor to do much
And if we continue to try w/same formula only a yr older w/same assets older, less energy, mo expensive, we deserve to continue to lose
win now = no, wrong
listen to bern
see my post 3846I was considering a 3-way trade with Miller, Mika but assuming no waiving for west coast (read that) or Canada (assuming for tax) for Mika there really aren't any good dance partners who need a center at his price and term and have some ones that would entice Vancouver.
Rangers can retain cap if it makes sense. I imagine it'd be tough with JTM's cap coming back. It could work in a goofy way if VAN retains, NYR retain, VAN gets back less overall cap from a 3rd team.
- Florida has no cap and run Barkov, Bennett, Lundell.
- Tampa similarly no cap with Point, Cirelli, Paul.
- Carolina could upgrade Kotkaniemi and have $4M in cap but I doubt Vancouver would take a random collection of parts and Carolina is not parting with Nikishin for Mika. LOL.
- New Jersey already has Hischer, Hughes, no cap.
- Detroit has no cap. They'd have to deal Debrincat. Signed through only 2027. Is that good enough or is that much cap going away actually a draw. Also don't know why Detroit would do that unless the true Yzerplan is to assemble Team Sweden. Detroit does has a bunch of short term parts if Vancouver is looking to fill out their depth but they'll have a gapping whole at center if they do that. Detroit isn't moving Larkin for this type of deal. Andrew Copp is NOT the answer either.
- Maybe Boston? Lindholm proved to not be a Bergeron replacement. Maybe we can convince them Mika can do the job! They don't have cap either
- Pittsburgh has Crosby Malkin (IR). 3C is weak for them. I don't think they have the parts to give Vancouver anything they'd value.
- Columbus has Fantilli, Johnson, Monahan, Sillinger, Bel Belluz. I don't think they need a center. If they really wanted Mika and really wanted to take on all that cap, then maybe there is a deal to be made. Columbus has a TON of cap.
TLDR; given destination restrictions, I don't see a dance partner for a Mika deal.
no NO NOIf Kreider is activated Rempe goes down Bern
Keep Bo up
Not sure if you are paying attention but Mika has 5 points in the last 5 games now that Kreider isn't dragging him down. He's worth more to the Rangers if he regains his form than the terrible return would be trading him. Trade Kreider, Lindgren.see my post 3846
we don't know about the VAN top pivot picture
we KNOW mika does NOT want to go there BUT
I think it reasonable if he is given a public assurance it is balance of this season stopgap if he does not want to stay and they will try to move him to a preferred location, he may be open. Hopefully he has gotten the message that possible long term benching is a real-> likely option.
I don't think he capitulates and let us send him anywhere, but I think if we and VAN both agree to work long term he might be open
and as I said,
I could see we send Bogen + KAM + for JTM +
I could see Elias Pett + Bogen as base for Dobson + Barzal
if that happens, Zib could be top dog in VAN, which may/may not make dif but shouldn't be negative short term
I agree
only possible places that fit on paper are:
VAN for above, or if only JTM goes [anywhere] and Elias Pett stays, then he's got his Swede bro
or
LA - ny of the west coast, hip music scene
outside maybe on Nash
no NO NO
ditch Vesey
play CK as he can handle it

I don't know if you saw this but Kyperos is reporting that Zibanejad will not waive his NMC to a west coast team so operating off that intel, you should not entertain Ziba in VAN in any way, shape, or form. No VAN. No LA. No Vegas. Don't care how hip the music scene is. Don't care how many Swede bros are there for him to hang out with.see my post 3846

IDk what that means. By that logic no team in the league would want him
Why in the world would nyr trade possibly one of the top 4 forwards we've ever had in Panarin, we just throwing shit at the wall now
Ahem.Ty Smith on waivers, a guy id be interested in, doubt he makes it to us
oh but only if that were trueNot sure if you are paying attention but Mika has 5 points in the last 5 games now that Kreider isn't dragging him down. He's worth more to the Rangers if he regains his form than the terrible return would be trading him. Trade Kreider, Lindgren.
1. I am too busy w/way too much shit and I should not be here as much as I am, so pls excuse unintended error you consider signif enuf to be a slight where I recalled some content, but did not quote where/who from.I don't know if you saw this but Kyperos is reporting that Zibanejad will not waive his NMC to a west coast team so operating off that intel, you should not entertain Ziba in VAN in any way, shape, or form. Bolded is pipe dream. The plus would be from us and it would be in the tune of a 1st with our valuable scraps.
You might say NO to that thought but know that I will go with the professional NHL analyst with connections, talking to actual NHL people, getting actual intel on the situation over forum speculation.
Also, why do you quote me if you don't even bother responding to my post. Kinda rude!
one scenario, dealing him is dumb; another it is smartWhy in the world would nyr trade possibly one of the top 4 forwards we've ever had in Panarin, we just throwing shit at the wall now
Any idea why he retired so young? He was such an awful pickBoo Nieves in the alumni game
Believe it was concussions, like 3 or 4 in a row.Any idea why he retired so young? He was such an awful pick
Of the second round pick taken above him, he played more games than 18 of them and probably would have more than a couple others if he didn't have the concussion thing. He wasn't a good pick by any means but it wasn't really that bad, just one that didn't work out. He had a lot of good tools.Any idea why he retired so young? He was such an awful pick
