Ive said before. Kakko didnt work out here because he was Celiac and the Breadman was bad juju.

I know it’s pure fantasy, but I actually think Lindgren would be a really solid 4th line forward and Miller would be a really good middle six winger.

Since our defense is an absolute shit show and massive changes are needed, I would honestly stand and applaud any coach who’d even consider giving either a look at a different position. I clearly wouldn’t advocate this normally - I wouldn’t suggest Zib or Laf of Kreider or really anyone else switch positions, but Miller was a forward, his decision making as a D is a hinderance, but his physical tools, size, skating, etc. make it very realistic for me that having FAR less responsibility as a winger would actually be tremendous for him (anyone remember a Brent Burns went from D to F back to D? As did Byfuglien). Lindgren just doesn’t have enough juice left in the tank to be a 20 minute a night D man, but he would make a great high energy, forechecker and backchecker playing 10 min per night. I’m honestly dead serious. What better year to try something radical than this?

Play with Dellandrea. his nickname is Del Taco. Or get Ray "Chicken Parm" Ferarro
and then play them with Vlasic aka Pickles and Bryan "Soupie" Campbell.
And dig up where ever Andrew "Hamburglar" Hammond is.

the sooner you realize none of these moves are happening the less you'll be disappointed when they don't.

This is why the Rangers haven't won in 30 years. The old formula hasn't worked. Bill Zito cleared out all of the fan favorites. Reshaped that roster. The Panthers were a nothing team. Bold and hard decisions. The same shit will continue to happen and we will blame the coach. Another year is quickly coming to a conclusion. 14 games until the 4 Nations break. Only 7 games until the trading deadline. All of these mamalukes are one year older and got paid. The Rangers have gotten worse.

No rebuild has ever worked unless you luck into at least 1 and usually 2 future hall of famers. You also don’t bail on a team after 1 half season of poor play when we ended our last rebuild 3 years ago. There are moves to be made still but there’s no rebuild coming.

Vancouver is not looking to rebuild with their potential moves involving JT Messier and Petey. They are want players back.

The Rangers have some core pieces to trade and they should. I am not saying the Rangers should make a trade with Vancouver. Same situation though.

The Rangers will have so much cap space accrued at the trade deadline. They will have more if Kreider gets off IR. 13 forwards instead of 14 forwards. Drury should be selling off his rentals for futures which will create more cap space even with 50% retention on all three spots. Drury should also look to move his establishment players for NHL players. The Rangers could acquire a signed player(s) with their cap space at the deadline for future years.

Drury did a terrific job moving Trouba for UV18 and a 4th round pick with Anaheim taking on the full contract. That move creates so many possibilities.

Kakko. I love Kakko. The Rangers were better off not winning the lottery in 2019 and remaining at #6 to select Matt Boldy. Whenever Kakko does anything, twitter goes crazy. I have seen Kakko. He looks like the same player in Seattle. The Rangers moved on. Other teams also liked Borgen. Drury has the possibility of getting a really good return for Borgen. A better return than Kakko. If the Rangers are interested in signing Borgen in the summer, you say "Will don't forget about us on July 1. Good luck buddy" when you tell him about the trade. Is that tampering?

I just think Drury has an excellent opportunity to reshape the roster for seasons beyond this season. He should think outside of the box.
