It is remarkable to have 2 wingers, Raymond and Kane, as playmakers. They have carried the offense this hot streak.
The team played sloppy 1st period. It looked like they might lose it, but they scored 2 in 2nd and it seemed as the win was in the box when we scored 4th. Amazing pass by Raymond.
I believe they had only 8 shots after 2.
Mclellan tried to get tarasenko going and put him on the ice for empty netter, but they scored
Unbelievable that the team is 6-1 with the new coach, but not surprising. We are now 1 win from the playoffs spot
Every time Raymond has the puck, I feel like we get a legit scoring chance.Honestly hes just turning into a dynamic all around player. Great hands around the net, absolute howitzer of a snap shot, work horse on the back check.
Im not sure I should crown him just yet but I think hes Detroits best forward, even over Larkin now
No, Detroit isHabs won again. The hottest team in the league.
I agree. If he has control of the puck in the offensive zone I'm starting to get to the point where I pay attention because he generates so many chances. Havent done that since Datsyuk leftEvery time Raymond has the puck, I feel like we get a legit scoring chance.
And Kane too. I believe he plays the best hockey since he joined the team. And I finally see his connection with DeBrincat.Every time Raymond has the puck, I feel like we get a legit scoring chance.
No. They were 4 points behind us, now they are 2 points ahead of us.No, Detroit is
Not wanting an endless slobber-fest does not imply that I want our guys to be homers. Rightfully focus on the kid when he does something good, dont gush over him non-stop like some NHL network slappy. It’s one of the things I love about our broadcast team. They aren’t insufferable homers like every other set of announcers and recognize elite talent when it’s there. I love it personally. Bedard is a franchise player and he’s rightly focusing on him.
At least it also turned Chicago's Wyatt Kaiser into an Emperor...So the historical lesson here is obviously that in the end the Clown always beats the Emperor
129 point pace since mclellan took overRaymond on an 88 point pace halfway through the year
Kane too?129 point pace since mclellan took over
129 point pace since mclellan took over
Yesterday Kasper was on a 164-point pace.Lol. Let's relax with this stuff lmao
But this is important compared to the past few seasons...the wings as a team performed only as well as Larkin in seasons past (they started to change late last season)...now, they have others that are able and willing to pick up the slack. Raymond has been awesome, but others have helped fill in the gaps too and the yutes are coming along. And Kane too. I believe he plays the best hockey since he joined the team. And I finally see his connection with DeBrincat.
No. They were 4 points behind us, now they are 2 points ahead of us.
This is completely unbelievable. Under Lalonde this team was usually outshot 2 to 1. Tonight after 2 periods we outshot the Hawks 3 to 1.
I think it should have been 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 after 2. I think we had 5 A chances in period 2. Raymond and Kane are red hot, Larkin on the other hand is not on the top of his game, he completely messed up that 3 on 1 and missed an easy EN.
He gets moved if he asks SY to do so, but I don't think SY will move him otherwise...his bigger value to the team may well be next year if Buch comes over...but even as the 3rd RW, he has some value for yutes (JB this year and Danielson maybe Buch next year?) it will hard for Tank to move up the line up with Ray and Kane on RW as well. (He is not comfortable on the Left side at all)Tarasenko has been really bad. Idk what to do about that situation
