The numbers look quite bad but two more points each by Schneider and Jones puts us near Toronto. The Leafs have a pretty unsexy blueline on paper. Only a +10 goal differential. Upper middle in terms of goals for. +13 points in the standings. And lately, they've been playing with Matt Murray and Dennis Hildeby in net and no Matthews so they've had their own set of challenges to overcome. Yeah, it looks really bad.

All this talk about Dolan. It's amusing. One sobering thing that I don't find amusing:

Dolan has had full control of the Knicks and Rangers since 1997

Not including this season, that's 53 total seasons:

0 Championships
2 Finals appearances
27 non-playoff seasons

Dolan isn't really a big hockey guy. He is much more in to the Knicks who have put together a pretty talented team. I'm not a huge Dolan fan I do not think he is a big Rangers factor. Not when we are really bad. Not when we appear in 2 of the last conference finals. For the most part MSG/Dolan sign the checks. The rest is on management and the players.

I just get this nagging feeling that Krieder will screw the club on the way out, negating an awesome trade because of an injury or such.

Our defense defends like Phil Housley did as a player, by not defending at all.

I just wished our forwards played like Mike Peca did in the NHL. Hard hitting and defensively responsible.

Great player. Tough competitor and real good leader.

Drury should call up Pat Verbeek again and see what he wants for Mason McTavish. Cronin has made that room absolute hell and everyone has tuned him out. Dude has been a psycho coach going back to his college days.

People have clamored for the next Sam Bennett? Well, there’s a former top-4 pick stuck in a 3C role in a bad situation. Bit of a prick, plays heavy, and knows how to generate chances between the circles.

The rest isn’t an easy fix when they need talent everywhere. They have two or three dmen worth keeping in Fox, Miller, and Schneider. The rest is a mess, and it’s being exposed because another coach can’t get this team to play as a cohesive unit 5v5.

They all hate Drury? Fine. Laviolette can’t do shit as usual? Fine too. Get rid of both.

He def has my interest….. imo, this guy/type of trade is the juice being worth the squeeze if he works out here.
Just don’t overpay because of draft position…..
Drury can remind him that when he brings up Kakko a return.
Ducks being out west and rangers in East is def more ideal for Ana if mason turns the corner.
Don’t have to see him multiple times a year or in Division/playoffs unless it’s a Stanley cup
