Why did the Rangers pass?
Which is funny because his new regime isn’t very fond of him.Plus didnt he say that he choose to go to the western conf in part b/c he only had to play the Rangers once a year? Or something like that?
I doubt he'd want to comeback. It doesn't sound like he's very fond of the current regime.
Latest mock draft from the BleacherReport:
I like the 24th pick--but I highly doubt he's going be there at 24.

Of course but with tbe amount of NMC's and NTC's they have handed out that might be a much taller order than expected. Also, I would think Cirelli is someone the Lightning would prefer to keep, and move other pieces if they could.

I'd be willing to make it worth their while, but I'd love to put the screws to Tampa, f them. Cirelli is a great fit for the Rangers too.
Yeah, I think it's going to get moved like Winnipeg's did last year.I dont think we'll have the Carolina pick at the end of it...
The question is are we? The last thing we need right now, is another wing and adding more capspace/term on a mid 30's player. Is Guerin dumb enough to do something like #9 and Zuccarello (33% retained) for Lias and #20?
I should have prefaced that is based on Hank retiring, because you are right we won't be able to otherwise. We won't be able to do much if he doesn't.How do you plan to put the screws to them when we have our own cap issues to deal with?
Funny how last week or so we were all going crazy if the Rangers drafted Guhle like BBkers mention with the 10 pick over some of our needs.
Our luck might have been once again losing out on a player that we really like in Lundell one spot before we drafted--not this year as the hockey ping pong gods were with us.
Lafreniere Baby...
If you watched the Vancouver-Minnesota series closely, you would have no interest in bringing MZA back.Ryan Strome for Mats Zuccarello (with $2m retained) + MIN 1st '20

I legitimately think they’d consider moving Point or Stamkos before Cirelli
JD was pretty emphatic about Howden. Enough so to make a few heads explode around here. There's something there...
He brought up Miller when asked about being swepthe glanced over Kakko and Howden but emphasized Miller. (Might be over analyzing but it's summer )
You know...
The more I think about it, the more I wonder whether seeing K'Andre's performance in bubble camp might not have impressed the Rangers that basically every prospect at Wisco right now had their value artificially depressed last season – and whether that doesn't in turn increase their interest in a guy like Holloway, for example...
Also, I would think Cirelli is someone the Lightning would prefer to keep, and move other pieces if they could.
That is a rather BIG IF. He is raw, still learning to play defense and did not have exactly an eye opening year in college. That combination makes me doubt that he is ready for the NHL. And I would rather, much rather be more conservative for a kid with his abilities.Well we've seen a lot more from the names being mentioned in the past few pages. Either they are marquee and will cost us, or they don't have first-pairing upside. So if Miller can step in comfortably to third-pairing minutes next season, it doesn't make a lot of sense to go get a Dunn or an Edmundson, who aren't going to do well with 1st pair minutes.
