I am a Fox fan and wouldn’t think about moving him unless the return was substantial. For me personally everyone is tradable to build a winning team. He needs a legit partner to support him, a Ryan McDonagh type, oops. Luke Hughes won’t be 22 until September and has 40+ pts in his 1st 2 seasons as a 20 & 21 yr old. He is 6’ 2” 200 lbs and is one of the best skaters in the league already. His defense has a long way to go but there is A LOT of runway. Won’t find many Devils fans that would trade Hughes for Fox.
Think you'd find a lot of Rangers fans that would trade Fox for Hughes? I don't. Hughes hasn't shown any inclination to play any defense. He's in his D+4 season. In his D+4 season, which was also his ROOKIE season where he was adjusting to the pro game, Fox scored just as much as Hughes has this year (though Hughes should finish a bit higher) and was excellent defensively. Two seasons later he won the Norris. Come back when Hughes sniffs that trophy... he'll have to score at twice the rate he does now if he doesn't drastically improve his defense.

A top 3 D man in the league not making the team. There are many Rangers fan who believe Fox is a top 3 D man in the NHL. How can a top 3 D not make an Olympic team? Best on best?

Is Team USA known for making the best decisions with regards to the roster? They left off Tage Thompson, Clayton Keller, Jason Robertson, Cole Caufield this year and instead took a bunch of depth players for the bottom six.

In 2014 they left off guys like Yandle and byfuglien to take Orpik.

He may not make the team but it's not because he shouldn't be there. The organization has a history of poor decision making.

Not for USA

Making any decisions, good or bad, off of a 4 game tournament is a terrible process.

Just get eliminated from contention. Play Gabe for the remainder of the season and park Kreider in front of the net on both PP units to attempt to set the record on his way out.

Adam Fox is terrible. We need to trade him and replace him with another Will Borgen.

What would a RB costume even look like?
I think it’s better to leave it up to your imagination. But yeah I’m sick and tired of hearing shit about Adam Fox. Adam Fox plays with a bunch of garbage and still is driving play at an elite level, producing at his highest level 5v5 in his career, yet somehow he is the one being criticized? It’s truly unfathomable.

yeah but...like....he doesn't 'move enough' on the power play (i saw someone here complaining about that the other day. the PP sucking is also his fault apparently).

Yup, of course. Honestly the blame should be put on whoever is running the PP. There’s been zero consistency, there seems to be zero plan. It’s guys completely moving around with no rhyme or reason.

The next coach needs to come in and basically give Drury a list of suspected Trotskyites to purge

He’s young and will get probably get better, and it’s not too late for him to become defensively responsible, but to say he beats out Fox? Now? His one forte didn’t come close to Fox’s scoring in an off year for Fox. That’s just insane.
Agreed, and he needs to get stronger as most young guys do. I also think getting drafted by N.J. was not the best thing for him, as he seems to defer to his brother too much when they are on the ice together.

I think turning the page on the rush hockey culture which Zib, Panarin and Kreider have grown up on here needs to happen. The sense of entitlement at ES is a product of having elite PP and goaltending, resulting in less effort at ES. It’s not even Kreider and Zibs fault, as it’s all they know as successful professionals.

We need to create a new organizational philosophy and I struggle on how we can do that successfully while all 3 are still core players. Ideally, 2 of the 3 are gone this summer. Unfortunately, only 1 is assured.

They've said before that they don't coach the power play.
