Yeah everything in a team meeting of this sort is being “hidden.” What’s said in a team meeting STAYS in a team meeting. You don’t go confirming or denying those kinds of questions, people start trying to deduce through process of elimination. ITS PRIVATE. THATS WHAT A CLOSED DOOR MEETING IS SUPPOSED TO BE.
They call it a closed door meeting for a reason. If it was meant for everyone then it would not be a closed door. :)

Well getting rid of Kreider, Miller and Lindgren is slightly dismantling to me.

Full dismantle would be trading panarin, trocheck along with those above.

Nuclear bomb would be fox, schneider, shesty level.

Thats my rating system at least haha
Perhaps adopt the borgen rating system.

EP is just another Mika, soft and disappears. Give me a team full of JT Millers, this team needs assholes.
Dont know that I agree about equating EP and Mika, but I do agree the team needs “assholes.” But assholes when it’s NEEDED, not just f***in dickheads.
The advantage EP has is age. Leary of taking on JT’s 8mil till he’s 38… Elias is quite a bit more expensive but 5 years younger and hits UFA in 7 years at age 33…

Not surprised we got so little for KK. His value wasn't high around the league. On the other hand as much as we crap on K'Andre he has a LOT more value. I am not giving him away unless we are truly getting a very good young center around his age or younger. He is not gonna be just a throw in for a bigger trade.
I sometimes wonder why teams that have high draft picks don't spend more money on early on coaching via a one on one personal coach for a year or so . There must be a ton of ex pro guys that would still like extra work and it would likely be a small OA price to pay for a guy that is counted on as a large future piece of your club . The Rangers throw away money .....surely they could find guys that could have worked with KK and Laf in their first two yrs and help them adjust to pro hockey .I think it should be a job for someone not on the regular coaching staff . It would be like looking after your investment .

Barkov was considered bad in the playoffs too until last year. Sometimes you just don’t know what someone is going to do each series. If a guy was a guarantee everyone would want them.

It’s why Sam Bennett is going to cost a fortune.

Headed to the game tonight. Rangers are due to squeak one out but also vastly inferior right now.

Me too! Look for this sign during warmup.

Always comes back to Kreider doesn't it?

Put it this way. Rangers PR probably wouldn't even allow any player to go talk on MSG.

And I could post you some quotes from Kreider when he spoke to Larry recently, but it wouldn't matter. So I'm not going to bother.
Well trocheck yesterday asked to Speak to reporters to clear the air.

Kreider… not so much.

One has been hear for over 10 years, the other a little more than 2 years.

yet Kreider is given this aura of no wrong by fans bc he is homegrown and been here a long time and wants tk retire a ranger. Well then f***ing lead the team and take the bull by the horns and show it. Your team is a f***ing mess with rumors galore and he is nowhere to be seen. Including rumors that the leadership core is running a coup.

Im sick and tired of of him and his “leadership” or intagibles or whatever else people give him. Yes he is homegrown but he is as big a problem on this team as anything else.

I am curious about something. What do people think/believe Chris Kreider is worth on the trade market? Kreider will be 34 years old in April. Two more seasons remaining on the contract. $6.5M cap hit. The real money is less. $5M salary next season. $4M salary and $1M signing bonus in 26-27. Kreider has 10 goals and 1 assist this season in 28 games. Is Chris the leading contender for the Cy Young award?

When Kreider's name was leaked as part of Chris Kreider's email/subtext, some people said the Rangers will only move Kreider for a huge return. There many people in the fanbase all of they have known is Kreider as a Ranger and they have an inflated opinion on his value. There was a girl on Twiiter/X who was having a fit over the Rangers trading Kreider.

15 team NTC list.

I think he would only go to a contender who needs a player to get them over the hump and into the dance.....that would probably bring a first and a prospect.

I make no bones about it. I want Kreider to retire here. He's my favorite player and will be my last favorite player.

He's got two years left. I'd like for him to finish his contract here. If he wants to continue to play and will take less money to do so. All good. If he wants the same or more then thank you for your service.

2025 first, b prospect and a 2027 third that could become a first if the team wins a cup during his three cup runs.

I think the usual suspects would be very interested. Dallas (Seguin injury), Colorado (life without Ranatanen and past interest), Vegas. Boston desperately needs a top 6 scorer.

I don’t know what he would return but Staple acting like the Rangers would have to dump him for nothing essentially seems like nonsense. Could he bring back a 1st and a good prospect? I think that a pretty reasonable ask.

Stage one is what most of us want, with the added wishlist of finding a way to say goodbye to zibanejad somehow.

I think all things considered Panarin and Trocheck stay, otherwise you’re in a full scale rebuild, which would surprise me and I don’t think is the right call.
