The only upcoming free agent that's worth a piss is Rantanen, and he's awesome.

Beyond Rantanen, it'll be a slow day.

I don't know who's on the list of free agents that's scaring you.
Rantanen will end up staying Colorado. Marner will stay in Toronto. Just like Igor was always staying here. It's all BS.

That's just summarizes Vince's article from this morning.

Actually there might be some value here.

It would shut Larry up for 17 whole minutes.

Id take on Anderson if we could get Mika to waive. Useless money for useless money.

Them “clearing the decks” suggests to me it’s something in the summer. Whether it be a big trade or a large UFA signing

UFA signing seems more likely given they’re trying to relieve themselves of cap commitments
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Igor's extension take up most of the Trouba savings?

It eats into it yes but seemingly they’re trying to clear space past that. No longer have to extend Kakko and Borgen is an UFA. Allegedly trying to move Kreider and maybe Mika who have multiple years left. Possibly trading K’Andre to not have to extend him.

Theoretically there will be money to spend, assuming Drury doesn’t f*** it all up

Correct. Most of the posters here talking about cap space mean just this season.

As of now, we've truly cleared KK's cap, minus the D that we're going to have to sign

edit: as @Oscar Lindberg mentioned, more moves will no doubt occur but I really doubt Mika is one of them

Hype by agents to fill their pockets . Hockey was good before the WHA came along . You never saw UFA guys and you never knew what the rest were making....which is how it should be nor do we need to know what they make . It's none of our business when you think about it .

You love to make these proclamations that you are right based off these insane little scenarios you invent. Bottom line you were wrong about KK's value (as were many, myself included).

The Ranger will never "listen to you" because you are merely a poster on a website that organizations don't read or value the opinions of. Your self-agrandizing nature is annoying.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING!! Thank you for making this as clear as possible.

Half the time, I think his stuff is all schtick.....but it really appears that narcissism is alive and well and thriving in him.
above 2 are inaccurate, thus unfair, and repudiated herein

When someone says "I alone can fix it", the ego sum emphasis is narcissistic. I am NOT saying that.
I am saying pts made are correct, compared to the what they are measured vs.

For example, I said no to win now rentals.
It is unarguable that those moves other than a 4th for Vatrano were massive mistakes.
But the pt here is that argument prevails regardless of who makes it.

You 2 are among those who dispute my every word, practically, including something like: 'water is wet'.

I don't claim to know everything.
Indeed the path to knowledge includes a beginning that there is so much more to learn.

But that disclaimer is not a basis to not speak up, and promote competition of ideas, or take a stand if it is defensible.

You guys want my capitulation and it will NEVER happen.

Send Mika and CK out there together - much better chance they waive if they are together. Vancouver would obviously have some good offers for JT, but it looks like that situation is becoming/already is untenable.

Mika + CK + Lindy for JT + Garland + Hoglander

Panarin + 3rd for Dumba + Bischel + 1st + 2nd

----------------
Draft: NYR 1st (Top 10? (top 5??)) + DAL 1st + DAL 2nd

Rantanen (13.5) Miller Lafreniere
Cuylle (6) Trocheck Perreault
Othmann/Berard/Hoglander/Garland/Edstrom/Rempe/Sykora

Bischel Fox
Miller (5) Schneider
Dumba/Vak/Borgen/Jones/Mancini + Fortescue/Emery on the way

Igor
Quick

Did I cook or did I *Bern* it (respectfully) ?
Unfortunately, JTM will not be surrendered for Mika.
best we can do w/Mika is retain 50%, and get secondary parts from 'nucks

I am overall open to the rest of it in some variation.

hm i wonder who this is directed at
Look in the mirror.
"Remove the beam from your own eye ...."

Drury gonna trade Perreault for Erik Karlsson
pls God no
to get out from under Zib I would have considered, if Mika waived
Zib + for EK

but not a cheap primo blue chip

Doesnt seem like a guy with nearly the hurt feelings the fanbase has. I'm happy for both parties that it's over and we can move on. A lot of the Kakko cultists (Kultists?) should probably read his full comments today. Could be eye opening for you in a positive way. seems like there's been ample communication between KK and the team over the years. Doesnt fit the narrative though.

I didn't see anything egregious. It's similar to how real world organizations are run. If the policy is no office relationships/romances, if that's what they felt with the player/pr person having dinner budding into a situation, you quell it with a memo. It's potentially full of organizational conflict of interest situations. These players are multimillion dollar investments who can't be compromised in any way from performing their contractually obligated work.

If Ramsay was let go for reasons proprietary to the company, it doesn't get revealed. Kreider can still have his MSG curtain call moment with the ex-trainer but he's still an employee. He can be upset about it as he pleases but doesn't change a thing. Try openly criticizing the management at any job and you'll be out of a job.

Curious where Kakko will fit on the Kraken lineup. Buddy line with Tolvanen and Wright? Who sits when Eberle and Gourde are back in the line up. He might bemoan this trade if he ends up on the 4th line playing 8 min a night.
