93 and 20 are 100% an effort thing.
Mika can still skate
Kreider can still skate

They just don’t give effort anymore. They’re allergic to contact.
I dont know about that. Mikas play been more physical the past couple of games. He is actually throwing hits and battling the corners.

Why would we make a move that doesn’t start with Kreider or Lindgren?

miller and Kakko can still grow and get better.

because they aren't trading healthy defensemen right now and Kreider's time will come. Barrett and Quickly were 2 homegrown fan favorites that have proved to be poor fits (Barrett) or too expensive long term (IQ). No one misses them because Anunoby was a bigtime upgrade. Drury should find a player like that and no one will miss Kakko (bad fit) and Miller (too expensive long term)

Tying your happiness to any professional sport is a tangled web of disappointment my friend.

My happiness isnt tied to the team, I just care and like them. The Mets have Juan Soto and it's Christmastime, how could one be unhappy? I'm not spending my money on this team until morale improves, but I certainly feel for the season ticket holders.

If I was Drury, I'd be taking a page out of Leon Rose' book and trying to package K'Andre Barrett and Kaapo Quickly for a 2-way stud that can be a long term answer that the team desperately needs. Either at forward or defense.

Then I'd be very open for business on both Kreider and Trocheck as a means to get off their contracts and play the youth more. Include Lindgren and/or Smith retianed as throw-ins to contenders to sweeten the pot.
I like the basketball analogy considering Drury only drafts wings and people over 6'5".

Also about Lav. He was my third choice for coaches when he was hired, brunnette and knob y were my top 2 by a mile. Also liked carburry but that was never going to happen.

Lav should 100% be fired. However, he should be fired after the rotten core is gone so a fresh coach can take over next year.

Lave is inflexible and i dont think he coaches the current way the game is played well.

The rumor that the vets are mad about how the Goodrow situation was handled is just a cover for the real reason they're upset. They're upset about the Goodrow situation, but what they're even more angry about is how Drury handled the Brett Howden situation. Mika and CK knew he was a winner and would've delivered a Cup here. Then Drury tossed him to the curb. And sure enough, Mika and CK were proven right as Howden now has a ring. Mika and CK feel NYR would've won the Cup last year had they kept a champion such as Brett.

Yeah, especially with Lindgren who he apparently wouldn't commit to long-term, but at the same time didn't lift a finger to get out of the exact same spot in the lineup he's always been.

He wants to act like Truman dropping the nuke after having a summer where he did very little.

Why? You needed 20 more games to realize Reilly Smith wasn't the piece?

Smith was pretty obviously a fallback option. By all accounts the Rangers wanted to move trouba and Goodrow's money to add another forward like Guentzel.

He has been more physical in the last 3 games. 5 hits. he had a total of 2 in the 7 games prior. The rest of his game though is still abysmal!

Nah, it was a loophole. Or at the very least a shady way to do business. They sent him a place he negotiated to not go. Drury and Grier actively got around the NTC with the move. And they didn’t even give him a heads up. At least when Tampa tried to did it to McDonagh, they let him know

Which again, I don’t care because it benefitted my team. But I’m also not gonna sit here with my head in the sand and be like “yup this isn’t shady at all”
He very clearly did NOT “negotiate not to go there”. He negotiated a list of no trade teams. He literally played himself into a spot where he was bad enough that other teams refused to give asset up for him. The only option left was to waive because he was worthless at his AAV. This is so above board it’s mind boggling anyone would thing differently. The contract he signed and agreed to was very explicit, there are full NMC’s, full NTCs and partial NTCs. He negotiated for a partial NTC because that’s all that was willing to be offered.

I don't think Goodrow is some contract law genius who fully understands the intricacies of all his clauses. He took whatever his agent got for him. His agent does not really have much of an incentive to fight hard to get his player a full NMC if the player doesn't list it as a hard requirement instead of a partial NTC since his fee is based on the value of the contract, not no move clauses.

It's fine for you to feel this way, but obviously players around the league disagree.

There's a reason waivers are not usually used, unless you absolutely need to get a player out of the locker-room, or need to make way for other bodies (which is why goalies might get waived easier). Because it does almost nothing to your cap situation. A trade is always more preferable. Thus, players actually see that NTC as protecting them just as well as waivers, because teams usually don't put players who have problem contracts to waivers (goalies being the exception, because they have to).
He doesn't just FEEL that way... it is factual. It's contract stipulations. People who think it's not fair somehow are the ones going on "feelings". FACT of the matter is they, with top notch legal advice, signed a contract with these stipulations. It wasn't hidden in some fine print somewhere. EVERY player knows what a NTC, a M-NTC and a NMC is . If they don't that's on them. It's not a loophole and it is completely ABOVE BOARD.

The reason waivers are not usually used is because teams like to get value for players they are shipping out. With waivers it can only be addition by subtraction.

Looks like they went out for the night in Nashville. The one time I was there was 2018, I think the rumor was JT Miller was out most of the night, probably other players were too.

The question is, did anyone hit the board or were they throwing darts at pictures of Drury?

Mika probably missed and hit the bartender in the eye with the dart. Bartender pressing charges against Mika and the org now.

Fox was so slow getting to the bar. That's why he's in the back and missed most of the dart throwing competition. Took him 2 hours to get there even though it's a 4 minute walk from the team hotel.

Kakko probably in the corner talking to himself quietly in Finnish.

Sure - this is completely off topic but it’s certainly up to Barclay goodrow and his agent to understand VERY basic contract agreements, nothing even remotely intricate or complex about understanding NMC, NTC, partial no movement that a child could probably logically understand.
