for Fox, laf, sure. that's not an excuse for zibanejad and kreider. They just do not engage.

to me it actually looks like they're all trying. they just aren't very good. they're too slow and thus out of position too often. they have two defensemen that can actually play NHL hockey, the others simply cannot play the man-on-man system the coaches are asking for effectively. some players that could turn the game on a dime with a skillful play to score a goal have regressed majorly. then the game gets to 2-0, 3-0 and what little offense they were generating dries up because the other team is laying back.

There is trying and then there is trying. They all think they are trying but they are not flying for 30-40 seconds, then coming back to the bench too exhausted to speak. Saying come on guys 30 second shifts, grabbing a water and getting ready to get right back out there 100% trying.

I saw 4 of our guys covering 2 guys and they were all within around 2-5 feet on one of the goals. Nobody played they body. They were in position to make the plays but they all seemed lost. Very tentative play. No body checking. Little stick work. It reminded me of the NFL when 3 rushing defenders somehow beat 6 bad blockers.

These no move clauses are a killer. If we are going to lose anyway just scratch MZ and Kreider to send a message. They couldn't show they are more disconnected if they tried, short of starting to fire pucks at Igor.

A lot of people talk about the NMC but is there any evidence that we have tried to trade Zibs and he has said no? We have traded guys in the past that had no trade clauses.

Guys a moron, dumping salary should have been the only goal, yet he dumped one bad contract and added another albatross. Might get killed for this but I was in no hurry to resign Laf either, hasn’t done much since signing that deal. That 5-1 start really gassed some heads, and at the first sign of trouble Drury is penning letters. He’s out of his league, another coach going to get binned on his watch, while the clown show front office continues to run the franchise into the ground.

Agreed. If you are actually watching the games and being honest about it, he is one of the few who kinda looks like he cares. Not much he can do with the two corpses on his line though. Smith and especially Kreider are abysmal.
