Roster Building Thread: Part XIV (To trade or not to trade is the question)

Do you think the coach has done a good job?

If Drury hadn’t pissed off the entire NHLPA by trading Tuba for this moron would still be playing him 22 minutes a night
I think the players have done a bad job which makes it look like the coach is doing a bad job.

I trust the coaching staff a whole hell of a lot more than I trust this group of players.

We literally didn't do anything.

It’s still so hard to not laugh at the Sens management group completely pissing their pants at something as simple as Larry Brooks noting that Rangers management is interested in a young star player that would reshape the future of their forward group.

Like, no shit? What team wouldn’t be interested in acquiring Brady Tkachuk?

Rangers want Connor McDavid if available. News at 11 folks.

No coach will look good when the team doesn't engage and orbits guys using body odor to try to steal the puck instead of their sticks or bodies.

The response by OTT and their fanbase about teams being interested in Brady tells me all I need to know about how nervous they really are that he's going to do exactly what he saw his brother do.

100%...it is in fact adding more fuel to the fire

I guess they have to make it look like they tried

To me it seems like the Senators are also upset at the implication by Larry that the Trouba deal had something to do with Tkachuk. Which it didn’t if you read the article, but just reading the tweet/headline within the context of the situation, I can understand how someone would jump to that conclusion

To me this likely ends the same way it did with Eichel. Drury pisses off some team trying to acquire their star and the price to acquire goes up expeditiously for the Rangers and no one else

Tkachuk is probably going to great traded, but this is going to get into Eichel territory where the owner is going to refuse to send him to the Rangers out of spite

but unlike Eichel, Tkachuk has a full NMC activating next year. He will have final say over that essentially

Though I do agree that it won't stop NYR from bidding against themselves lol
