No point in trying to sneak into the playoffs. The questions are

1) what players do we have that have any value that can be moved at the TDL.

2) where can we find some players who are tough and care

The roster needs to be dismantled. These guys suck. 12-4-1. 16-17-1. The Rangers need a cleansing. The 14 game stretch playing 11 teams in playoff spots. Was Dallas in a playoff spot when the Rangers played them? The Rangers are 1-4.

The Rangers beat Dallas or Igor beat Dallas on Friday. The Rangers followed that up losing to Carolina and Jersey. A few weeks ago, the Rangers beat Pittsburgh and lost the next two home games to Seattle and Chicago at home.

This Rangers team is currently 10 points out with 1 more game played than the next best team in the Metro and 5 points out of a tie for the last WildCard spot with 3 teams to jump there at Christmas. It's time to bite the bullet, rebuild as needed and get the correct pieces moving forward.
Islanders are playing Buffalo tonight. Pittsburgh is playing Philadelphia. Montreal is playing Columbus. The Rangers are bunched in with those teams. Montreal and Columbus are right behind them. I am rooting for an Islanders win and three point games in the other two games.

The fact that the GM just signed a 29 year old goalie to a market resetting 8 year contract that hasn’t even kicked in yet is just the complete chef’s kiss
He does have a few months to trade said goalie before the NMC kicks in. You know, to get a hat trick of NMC circumvention. Could be a haul but I really doubt Drury does that.

Unless you can get Brady T. JT Miller solves a ton of our issues. The team needs a lightning rod to follow. Miller doesn't feel wanted in Vancouver. Trade whatever you need to get him. We are talentless so why should anyone care. He's a 100 point player.

this team can't be trading for veteran players now, JT Miller does nothing for this team. what are you going to do, give up picks and prospects for a 30 year old? who is a locker room cancer? you gotta be kidding me. they need to get to work on shedding veterans for picks and prospects the second Drury wakes up on Saturday.

Blast Laviolette and Housley to Siberia. Retain Muse. Give Peca the interim tag for the rest of the season. Long overdue to break-up the soft, perimeter, winless core of Mika / Kreider / Fox / Panarin.

Agreed. Peca should teach the team to play how he did.

Fun fact is that Kreider actually has a lower average annual salary than Drury when signed for us almost 20 years ago. Kreider also has a 50 goal season and excellent postseason production while Drury has a measly 4 postseason goals for us.

So get rid of CK and bring him back in 5 years as part of management? I'm good with that
