People don’t seem to understand roster building in the roster building thread.
They seem to think it’s like nhl 25.

they want to vent their spleen without an understanding of how things work.

I like this board because there’s occasionally insightful commentary that I may agree or disagree with but at least it’s insightful and rational.

They waived Goodrow in the exact same way 6 months ago but its unheard of now?

I honestly do not believe Drury expected this squad to do anything extraordinary -- especially since he could only (once again) make changes on the fringes. As someone suggested, he's been looking forward to this coming off season where he will finally have some flexibility to move things around...personally, I think he'll be as ruthless as he was with Goodrow.

I hope so... but moving Shesty should happen before the deadline IMO as to maximize the return.

Lakeside was a great bar with a great juke box in the early-mid 2000s. RIP

Oddly enough, in my neighborhood here in Nashville, there is not only a Lakeside Lounge, but also a Duke's (the NY one was on C between 8th and 9th) and a Mickey's (which was on C between 11th and 12th).

EDIT: AND the Duke's here in Nashvile is owned by a bartender who used to work at Ace (6th between A&B).

Before Drury tries to do any major surgery, he should trade Smith and Lindgren for a couple mid round picks like the rentals they are. They don’t do anything for this team, and at least we do well in that area of the draft.

Not bad. Front run the hard to negotiate deal with two question marks for known qualities.

Then you have those assets as well to balance out/strengthen your position with the malcontent transactions.
