Still the same issues just as they had back then, if not much much worse now.

Are you just firing from the hip in outrage or something? In what universe was the 2012 NYR soft? That team was like hockey pornography for the lowest common denominator of dumb hockey fan. It’s the exact team so many always complain they want every year.

Meanwhile they weren’t even close to good enough to win. That team would get smoked by the “softer” teams we’ve put out the past few seasons.

Drury blew this, twice. Feels like he’s in over his head. You can’t go public with wanting to trade your teams captain, even though he deserves it, twice in less than six months and expect it to not cause problems in the room. Add to that how he did Goodrow dirty and I can see why guys would say, f*** this guy. I was supportive of him but he’s not the guy to lead this organization. And now I wonder if he didn’t backstab Groton and JD. The team has real issues, he could have gone about this a different way instead of airing it to the media

They might. He would make Ovechkin more effective on the powerplay with his goalie screens, which might make it worth it for the caps. That franchise’s number 1 objective for the next couple years is to get Ovy the goals record.
that's a good pt
but still, Leonard is a primo higher prospect

I can see CK to DC
but not them giving Leonard

value not withstanding the cap
I could see
Kreider + Zib at half
for
Hendrix Lapierre + cap dumps
not that HL is all that and a bag of chips but it gets us rid of zib if he waives

but that is over 10m in cap WAS has to send our way
so... no

Colorado traded a first round pick in 2026 to Philadelphia to rent Sean Walker.
The trade was Sean Walker and a 5th round pick for a top-10 protected 1st AND Ryan Johansen, who had another year on his deal. So the price for Walker wouldn't have been a first if it was only him. Dumping RyJo was a big part of that cost.

Its obvious.

They put Cuylle whos been one of the best, if not the best forwards on the team this season with him and it still doesnt help.

Mika is shot to shit
eye test concurs
Cuylle + KK
are terrif w/Chytil or even Brodz !!
and Cuylle + KK look like w/correct W, that can be a thing

but MZ is really shot

have to see if we have any experts who can determine his concussion history is catching/has caught up, and if yes, can that do anything for us? LTIR?

Mercogliano with another word salad article with no insight whatsoever. Our beat writers are such bootlickers. Everyone rags on Larry but at least he knows what he’s talking about and speaks his mind. Vince, mollie and the rest all siding with the players to stay in the good graces. Sad what has happened to sports media.

“This has a chance to fracture the locker room” that’s the point numbskull, the locker room is complacent with weak leaders. Vince is in it every day but can’t see it like the fans do I guess.

Mika Zinanejad’s nephew made a video recapping what is wrong with the Rangers: :sarcasm:

Warning: Creator of this video is attempting to explain a complex situation with a fly-over analysis.
Might want to pass, unless you’re bored.

Let's be fair, Larry doesn't have to worry about pissing off anyone at this point of his career.

I enjoyed it when we got games down here that used it. It was normally on the Emrick/Davidson games only and we didn't always get games in which they were commentators.

It was amazing watching a glowing overlay that had no depth perception.

Did the puck go wide left? In? Wide right? Who cares? Thats not an important part of the game or anything.

I did appreciate it when the puck was a long the near camera boards and wasn't visible without it.
My favorite part was the red flaming trail of a slap shot

We need to see scratches based off Mondays performance. If we don’t, Drury’s call out was just that. Performative, with no real substance. The outcome of tonight’s game doesn’t matter, but the effort does.
100% agree. But sadly its not gonna be the one who should be scratched.

Vince is the Zibanejad of NYR coverage.
He wants no one in the Ranger organization to get annoyed at him.

He's a fluff reporter who mostly agrees with the fans concerns, but wilts in the press room where big boys need to ask big boy questions.

Just a friendly reminder to everyone: if you guys are expecting returns to include a prospect like Ryan Leonard or a young player like Cozens/Zegras based off the last Brooks article, you're going to be severely disappointed. Don't set those expectations for yourself when they were never within the realm of possibility anyways

The deals will likely be money in/money out.

Trouba was rumored between Dallas/vegas/minn.
None of them have any space at all, and so it would have to be money out.
Dallas would be the most interesting since there are some high end older centers who they may be willing to move to make space for the kids.

A Rangers source said Drury did meet with Trouba later in the day Tuesday, as well as Kreider and other veterans, before the team flew to Raleigh. The source characterized the meetings as “honest, productive conversations.”

If Drury’s league-wide trade call was meant as a message, those meetings were probably necessary to ensure the team can stay together and not fracture.

I found video material of said meeting
