Zegras is a smurf. The Rangers don't need anymore small finesse players. Perreault will be arriving soon and that should satisfy the Rangers quota of small players.

Drury needs to nuke the team. The team is stale. The D is not good enough. Maybe they are mad at management for Trouba's situation from last summer. Igor's contract. Trocheck's contract becomes a limited NTC this summer. Kreider has a limited NTC. Trouba has a limited NTC. Miller has regressed. He was bad last season and he is worse this season. Phil Housley hasn't helped him get better at all. Miller will never be a big offensive producer. We thought McDonagh had more offense than he was showing but it was never there. The power play personnel is frustrating. Miller is a better athlete than a hockey player. Flush it down the toilet. Is Drury even capable of making these trades? He is about to earn his keep around here. Even Laviolette. Is the team listening to him anymore? Drury has traded every draft pick for nothing. It's the same nonsense every year. Which potential free agent playing on a bad team will be available at the trading deadline? That's Drury's business plan. It's hard to make trades during the season so we will see more rental deals.

Dom had this stat

Aside from a .913 save percentage, Shesterkin is top five in goals saved above expected, and the only two starters who face more high-danger shots (Lukas Dostal and Mackenzie Blackwood) are on bottom-feeding teams. The Rangers are too talented to be the Ducks or the Sharks, obviously, but Shesterkin still bumps them up a few levels.

Quick has been terrific.

The Rangers are a bottom feeder without their goalkeepers needing to be superman.

The Rangers are going nowhere playing loose hockey. You don't see the Rangers changing that this season.

This season, so far, is screaming two years ago when a team thought they were just going to waltz through the season and "save" it for the playoffs and promptly got shown the door in the first round.

Lesson clearly not learned with this leadership group. Someone should be banging their stick against lockers and wake this team up to reality.

After Iron Mike is done with him, maybe we can teach Mr Paul to skate and he can bring some Avery-esque hate-ability to our lineup and give us a spark. Or at least we can all focus our dislike on him and not focus on Mika and Trouba. Meanwhile, I’ll be 45 by the time they even start this fight.
or we could just recognize Rs win signif # of times Rempe is in the lineup, call him up, and deal Vesey so he is back full time

If Chytil is sadly done for good I’d move Kakko as that’s the only C on this team he’s good with

Krebs and Greenway from Buffalo is the way to go . They will make moves

You are gonna have to give up soon he’s a 3rd liner on this team. Not a bad player but will never live up to the hype

Krebs is similar
wrong
proof: our 3rd line is good enuf to be the 2nd line here, and elsewhere

but my main pt remains correct
dealing him and not getting acceptable profit = waste = wrong

some thought LaF would not live up to 1OA hype....

If Chytil is ok then Kakko stays. He only plays well on that line and he still doesn’t score

Otherwise turn the page . It’s probably a for sure next offseason with cap issues

He’s probably going for draft picks next year

The rangers have barely any draft capital to trade for rentals.

KK is the exact type of player who wins you cups as one of the most valuable bottom line pieces. He probably won't be that expensive to tie up on a long-term deal after this year. Maybe something similar to what Goodrow got while having much higher upside potential. I realize he'll never become what we wanted him to when we drafted him, but we will have a difficult time replacing him if we move him.

He should also be killing penalties and it drives me f***ing nuts that both Gallant & Lavi have not used him heavily in that area.

Also - Zegras sucks and I have no interest in him. He'll be eaten alive by the Rangers fans and media. People think Mika sucks.

unless overpayment, it would be foolish to move a significantly developed player, physically gifted, still has upside for picks

no

this ^, except he's been good enuf, and we should try to extend 8 yrs at only 4.25 w/zero nmc, limited ntc

Zeg is a gem w/flaws
worth a buy at right price in correct currency

People laughed when I said I doubt Rempe plays more than 30% of the season. Fans penciled him into the lineup. He absolutely wasn't ready for a full time 4th spot. Jimmy Vesey might be an idiot some nights, like the end of last season and playoffs but he's still a much better player to have on your roster. If the conversation is getting rid of him, then you replace with something better, not something worse. Rempe is fine for a call up, but he's not an every day player, yet.

Underline = overriding. What good is the season if you can't cut it in POs?

Assuming bold is correct, and I do not concur, the solution is get 10-ish mins regular 4th line use out of him and supplement w/specialty tutors NOW
He needs NHL mins to be ready for NHL POs, and even if growing pains here, best to get that now, here, not in the A which won't up his game.

And AGAIN, when Rempe plays, Rs win most of those games. Stop ignoring that reality. Vesey? not so much a dif maker...

He showed he was clearly not ready before they sent him down. How does 4th line minutes vs tougher competition help him develop faster than 2nd line minutes in the AHL? Failed logic. Vesey has a proven history of being a better player along with current play being better. You are objectively wrong as often happens.

The Rangers have one of the best 4th lines in hockey, lets break it up to insert an AHL goon for vibes though.

Rempe being better than Vesey is one of the worst takes I've ever seen on these boards but, I'll says this much, he's sticking to it no matter what.

6 games, no points, -6 in the AHL = screaming that he's NHL ready and better than Vesey. :P

No fights though.

Rempe stinks with Hartford but yeah call him up

In this instance you are all wrong.
You suffer from addiction to win now = instant gratification.
You are unwilling to give the kid what he needs to succeed even more than he already is.
When he is in the lineup, we consistently win.
Bend buckle and break to that reality, admit it, don't pretend it's not true b'c ya wanna bring me down.

He already made huge improvements in his skating and showed this in camp.
His north south speed is exceptional.
He could use more work on other skating aspects.
Best way for that is hire a tutor to stay with him here, do extra drills on top of regular practices.

Vesey is ordinary at best, and invisible in the POs.

coach Lav is wrong for favoring vets over youth, so insufficient development and we are effed for the POs.

no
time to learn with the bern

Now would be the perfect time to package Lindgren for a 3C
We should have dealt him 3 yrs ago, like I said, before all the wear and tear.
Unless/until he shows something and has recovered, return is minimal/throw in.
He should stay on LTIR rest of the year and heal up as complete as possible
