That last game was a bummer with the Chytil injury. It didn't even feel like a win. Hopefully this lockeroom can keep it together. The Tuba thing is quietly going to hang over them. They know the captain is gone this summer. Drury traded Goodrow (which was the right move). Mika is in a major funk. And now the Chytil injury. My hope that he has any sort of longevity in the sport is pretty much gone unfortunately. And let's not forget, maybe it was a coincidence I don't think there's really much known about the details, but K'Andre took that leave of absence for "mental health reasons" right after he shattered Goodrow's jaw with the puck last year. 2 years in a row now injuring a teammate unfortunately. It happens. Obviously it's not intentional, you can't fault the guy. But let's see if that effects him again

Miller for Zegras. Who says no?

Miller can be the long term 1D for a team with a few ex-teammates and no pressure. Zegras can come back home and get serious about his preparation under Kreider's wing. Also protects us from future Chytil injuries. Both guys need a change of scenery bad.
I'm pretty sure we would say no if that was the whole deal.

Underline = overriding. What good is the season if you can't cut it in POs?

Assuming bold is correct, and I do not concur, the solution is get 10-ish mins regular 4th line use out of him and supplement w/specialty tutors NOW
He needs NHL mins to be ready for NHL POs, and even if growing pains here, best to get that now, here, not in the A which won't up his game.

And AGAIN, when Rempe plays, Rs win most of those games. Stop ignoring that reality. Vesey? not so much a dif maker...

stop trying to trade Kreider
you're smarter than that!
Well, we are 1-2 with him in the lineup this season. This isn't last season. Teams aren't caught by his reckless forechecks and now they're simply side stepping to go around him. He's young and he's not going to average 10 minutes a night in the NHL. I won't look at his plus minus because he seems to be playing a different role in the AHL than he would be sheltered on the 4th line for us. So let him get some experience even if he makes mistakes. I find the idea that he needs time so he can be ready when playoffs come a bit ridiculous. Rangers aren't offering on the job training here. They need their 4th line to be the best it can be right now especially when our 5 on 5 is lacking.

People laughed when I said I doubt Rempe plays more than 30% of the season. Fans penciled him into the lineup. He absolutely wasn't ready for a full time 4th spot. Jimmy Vesey might be an idiot some nights, like the end of last season and playoffs but he's still a much better player to have on your roster. If the conversation is getting rid of him, then you replace with something better, not something worse. Rempe is fine for a call up, but he's not an every day player, yet.
i was sure rempe on the 4th line was written in ink and edstrom would get yoyo'd. very glad to see that's not the case

This offseason is exciting and concerning. We have decisions to make. How much do you really offer Miller? Is it possible we remove Lindgren, Trouba and Miller? Seems doubtful. I'm just hoping the team doesn't view the additional money Miller may want by what they gain subtracting Lindgren and Trouba. (I have no idea what Miller wants, but his play doesn't scream big raise).

Shesterkin hasn't been signed yet. Perhaps as long as this team looks the way they do that conversation gets put on hold. Might be the first time in a while that NYR has actual potions available to fill.

Hartford has better players but the Rangers call up Leschyshyn. They should have called up Groulx or someone more productive, even someone like Bryce McConnell-Barker, Dylan Roobroeck or someone with potential. They call up one of the world Wolfpack players. Why do the Rangers organizations suckb a t pro scouting???

If Chytil is sadly done for good I’d move Kakko as that’s the only C on this team he’s good with

Krebs and Greenway from Buffalo is the way to go . They will make moves
Just spitballing on what hockey trades could be out there if Chytil is out, some adds or retaining back and forth prob need to take place

Lindgren/Kakko for

Mon - Dvorak / Matteson
STL - Leddy/Faksa
CBJ - provorov / Kuraly
Chi - Martinez (I know, I know)/Donato

Lindgren/Kakko/Othmann

Nash - Lauzon/Sissons/Nyqvist
SJS - Walman / Kunin
Det - Chiarot/Copp

He’s called up to sit in the press box. The better, younger players should rightfully stay in HFD and keep playing. This isn’t difficult stuff.

assuming that is correct, 1-2 is too small a population size

track record proves he gets the game, team has mo energy, mo mojo, etc and it is stupidity to not up that from 5-6 mins to double that w/reg 4th line mins

This lineup NEEDS size etc he brings
that is the truth, deal w/it

i was sure rempe on the 4th line was written in ink and edstrom would get yoyo'd. very glad to see that's not the case
should both be playing

If Chytil is out for a while and we have go into LTIR I wonder if Drury would explore taking on Wennberg and Goodrow from San Jose as a package deal
