No I wouldn’t assume that he would put up 40 points on the pp lol.

If he’s at a PPG at ES he’s going to
Be a top 5 es producer.
The laf draft comparisons were on the level of matthews and mackinnon.
They've fallen since the draft, and people have revised their opinion. But those were his draft tier comparisons. Not good enough to be on the mcdavid tier, but the one right below it.

Those guys are still close to ppg without pp time, but also score 40+ on the PP.
Mackinnon had 40+ points on the pp.
Matthews had 29 powerplay points.

Laf is currently T-3rd in 5v5 points this year, with 5 of the 6 points being primary, and the 6th being a turnover he forced to make the goal happen.

One is 31 and has played a hundred and fifty-ish NHL game.
The other is 31 and has played close to 600 NHL games.

One is definitely better than the other and his last name doesn't start with a "B".
past is secondary, not an important, let alone dominant, consideration
Vesey is not physically better in any way to any of
Eds Remp Brodz
He does not play C
he is lefty not righty shot

he has zero growth upside
he is what he is, WYSWIG
that's ok except Eds Remp Brodz all offer more
so no, buh bye

i liked the walman idea someone had for LD.

as far as 3rd line wing, as much as i like the idea of Cuylle Carrick Edstrom 4th line with Vesey 13th man, i think Chytil and Kakko benefit more from a forechecker/puck retriever/corner digout guy than a pure playmaker. their game is more direct possession->funnel/drive the net. Berard is a potential fit here imo. Try Othmann too.

He's our second best defenseman.
That’s an insane statement. I like him, but him and Jones have good moments but also can get pinned easily. And his numbers with ruhewdal were atrocious. And his numbers w Jones aren’t positive either.

Trouba gets dealt at the draft.

Lindgren has to be dealt before the TDL + a 2nd in the year of 2165 for an upgrade on LD.

Also Laf losing motivation after his payday? Brethren pls.

Vesey is better than all three. Growth wasn’t part of the discussion. Brodzinski is an high end AHL player and a 13th forward. That’s his peak. Vesey has surpassed that. PK, scoring goals, stop gap top 6 in event of an injury. It’s not even close.

So yes, buh bye.

Just more of a reason to say FU to Trouba for forcing the trade not to happen when Mancini gets sent down.
You’re stretching it be time. Not only since no one was penciling Mancini in the lineup this season (not overall and not in the context of possibility of Trouba leaving), but also since Trouba’s game has been very acceptable from the start of the season.

Yes, nobody predicted Mancini making it as good as he has. But now that he has, it continues to make Trouba's tantrum look even worse.
