The playoff comparison between Lundqvist and Shesterkin is not as simple as just comparing career numbers, or first 44-50 games. Teams are way different. Scoring is higher. And if you use our success with Lundqvist and say 2011-2012-2014-2015, the numbers are obviously much different now. I never liked the straight "In their first *insert games*", or "Career stats" comparison because it's almost meaningless.

So basically we're going til atleast Christmas without a new deal, that's ballsy on Igors part, what happens if he tears a knee up or something.

He is choosing money over team success, time to move on. San Jose, Calgary, Columbus, Anaheim etc would all take him I bet, how about Detroit they have real goalie issues.
The bolded are likely all on his no trade list, and San Jose just traded for Askarov. Detroit could make sense if they don't want to wait for Cossa.

Idk I just kinda hate Zegras
He ain't worse than Kakko. Haha

However, he does kinda seem like a caricature of a "hockey bro". Played with a lot of those dude back in college. They can be nice guys and fun, but they can also be pretty shitty.

Insane offer, and insane to think Chris Drury would be smart enough to build a team with that crutch of a contract on the books around Igor.

Stop talking about a trade, it doesn't exist. Unless you want to just give him away. If there is a team that is willing to give in to his insane contract demands, they will wait until next July and grab him for free in the UFA.
