@Edge do you think news on an ADA trade will be something that happens quickly (within the next few days) or will linger

Really hard to say.

I feel like ADA's camp and the Rangers are both trying to salvage a career and the value associated with that career.

There is supposed interest around the league, but it's also one of those situations where you're also going to have teams that want nothing to do with ADA. The question is whether someone is willing to do a salary swap, or whether the interest piques with ADA at half-cost, or whether his only hope for redemption is at an even lower salary.

They gotta trade this guy now. Need to settle this move on take whatever u can get.

but I’ll say this don’t make a trade where you’re paying 50% next year. Can do it this season fine but If that’s the case let him sit at home or loan him out somewhere and buy him out this summer.

Herman has sources I don’t think it can be denied regardless of how you feel about him.

so either he was given this info, played it up and blew up in his face, or whoever was giving him info gave him bad info and it blew up in his face

No idea what one it is. The information on this story has been all over the place though.

Larry and @Edge said K’Andre helped break up the fight. LaGreca who works for MSG said K’Andre had nothing to do with it.

Just an example of the reporting being all over the place

Why are you so invested in believing Herman
They even tried to claim Carpinello was one of the people "independently verifying" the rumor and he said "I said no such thing at all". It's showing how fast and loose they're playing with this stuff

e: I'm not saying he's making it up but as others have noted the info is all over the place. The whole "OMG he stole the puck!" thing is a ridiculous hill to die on at this point since he's even backpedeled it all the way to "well DeAngelo took the puck and I never said he still had it or had it after the game or or or or or!"

Maybe DeAngelo took the puck, gave it to the trainer, someone wondered "wait where'd the puck go did DeAngelo take it???" and the story took a life of its own. But basically everyone involved has said "this wasn't an issue" but they're invested in making it an issue now which I guess is the bigger thing for me at this point.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but LaGreca typically doesn't have squat.

For all of Uncle Larry's ups and downs, he's way more tapped into this issue than LaGreca.

Having said that, the organization is definitely in scramble mode.

The Twitter medium has casualized journalism too much. There is barely any editorial process anymore.

This is a major concern that probably doesn't get nearly as much attention as it should.

The news media has its own share of problems and things it needs to work out. But social media is kind of like the wild west of information.

He should have gone that extra mile even if he didn't have anything against DeAngelo.

When you're making a serious allegation against someone, you better be 10000000% sure that your info is iron clad.
Sadly, I think some people want this story to be true which is horrific. It’s like they rather have a “ See! I told you!!” over Miller’s well being and positive introduction to the Rangers/NHL. It’s perplexing to me. Maybe I’m misreading things? But it’s certainly the vibe I’m getting.

If DeAngelo’s agent is to be trusted (which it’s his job to say everything is great) there’s decent interest in Tony

I’m sure the Rangers want to get this done ASAP but it takes two

early posts of the Herman article, had at end, a statement from a site editor that they stood behind Herman, he had unimpeachable sources
I don't see that anymore

I can't even begin to count how many "articles" I've read over the past years that are nothing more than a collection of tweets related to the topic

Let's be clear, I'm not defending anyone, but if the REAL story was that ADA was ribbing Georgiev and Georgiev threw the first punch and then headlocked ADA, it would seem to be more a case of Georgiev snapping vs ADA being some psycho attacker. As crazy as this sounds, that would actually be better for ADA in terms of a trade one would assume then what has been discussed with him saying something and then starting something with Georgiev. Am I off here?
