King’s will have almost 20 million tied up in two guys that should be on the decline before their deals are up. Not Including guys like Quick and Carter who will be done contract wise in two years.

Still world class!

Yes still terrific players but in 3-4 years when guys like Turcotte/Grans are ready to make their mark probably not as much. Doughty has been a beast of a dman but in 3-4 years at 33/34 with some tough miles on him will be interesting to see how he plays. Kopitar will be 37.

Kravtsov, if he stays, is the potential secret weapon.

You’re talking about a guy with elite level skill who is not inherently a focal point like Lafreniere or Kakko, but is incredibly dangerous and capable of changing a game. He’s like a viper in the sense that he could strike quickly and deadly.

In many ways, playing “in the shadows” of Lafreniere and Kakko could be a tremendous benefit to Kravtsov.
This. If at least 80 percent of our guys pan out were are goin to have hay day Detroit level depth in our top 9-10 forwards. And I don’t say bold statements like that too often

He’ll be expected to and heavily relied upon to replace Buch

Kravtsov playing in the shadows of Lafrenière and Kakko reminds me a bit of Kuznetsov behind Ovechkin and Bäckström. I'm not saying he will be that good, but not having the spotlights on him will be great. If Kravtsov can turn into a 60 point winger behind those 2, that's huge

Coincidentally Kuzya and Kravy are homies.

What is it with you and your hate for Strome? Did he hit on your GF or something?
Yes, what is it, indeed? And more importantly, how did my personal animus manage to infiltrate the minds of beat reporters?

All a masterful scheme to disguise my intense personal hatred for Strome into practical considerations about cap and roster management, MWAHAHA!

Man, if Kravstov forms into a true 1B level threat on the second line that would be amazing for this team.

Then you could have Panarin slide down and play with him. Woof

Don’t like that

hopefully Kuznetsov hasn’t introduced him to his friend Mr. Coke

Well, thanks. Now I will think about it.

Seriously, I only meant to say that they both are considered Chelyabinsk own, same as Panarin for example. This is industrial town in the heart of Mother Russia that is very proud of its hockey school in general and stars like Kuznetsov and Panarin.
