Lundell was a healthy scratch in game four against Tampa. Does that mean Anton is in trade talks?
Asking for a friend.

Lundell doesn’t need a new contract. He also hasn’t disappointed relative to expectations as Kakko has

Strongly believe Malkin will be a NYR on Thursday. I can’t see any other realistic destination for him. Trade for Patty Kane and then you have one of the best lines of all time with Panarin-Malkin-Kane. Half serious

I’m 100% certain the Pens then sign Vinny Trocheck to replace him, he’s from Pittsburgh and a 2C. No better fit
The only way this potentially works is if the Rangers can get Kane at 25%.

Malkin comes with a lot of injury risk and I don’t know why he’d accept less dollars and years than PIT is offering, but it’s weirdly enticing. He can still score and playing with Panarin the upside is crazy.

We’d have to really commit to string defense in the bottom 6 though

Pretty clear that all these rumors of guys getting $8M+ deals was coming from agents and only agents.

It's gonna be a rough week for a lot of these players.
We'll see what happens with some of the bigger fish. It hits the middling players first. Fiala getting $8.5m was not a frugal start. By next year for sure, some of the bigger free agents will be getting stiffed.

And then they’ll beat us in the playoffs next year, because at this moment in time, Trocheck > Malkin.

That's a big no from me, dawg.

Some people are seriously underrating Malkin somehow.

He just scored at an 84 point pace and would have been the best 5v5 play-driver on our team (and yes, better in that regard that Trocheck). That's ho hum for Malkin. His floor is our best forward.

The only negative with Malkin is the injury history. If he's healthy he's gonna be productive.

I don't mean to understate this injury risk, it would be a concern. But I think it's a worthwhile risk especially if it's a shorter term deal.
