He would benefit greatly from skills coaching.
Strome would be a top 5 poster on this board haha.
Last time I watched Kharia fight he went to sleep / ZZZZ's ..and Nurse turned into a Greco Roman Wrestler with the low leg take down on MacEwen after he caught a dandy from MacEwen .....so we may as well go for either one of them two guys like MacEwen and or Ritchie . Smith can do as much as them two named Oilers . He had a good showing against Wilson....that is all that counts.
Not here to cause trouble
I think we can agree that a legit heavyweight was needed last week against the Capitals. We happen to have one in Edmonton named Zach Kassian. Just wondering if there would be any interest in him from a Rangers point of view?
Wouldn’t be opposed if the price is right. He does fit the age group of the team very well.Rangers should try for Givani Smith from the Red Wings
He’s not.
No trade clauses were created specially to protect guys from going to places like Edmonton.
You nailed it. And while I think the team could use more toughness, this "protecting the players" is still BS IMO. It's still not a real deterrent, the star players got in the bad end of a dirty play plenty of times with enforcers around. Wilson still grabs Panarin and tosses him, didn't people read his and WSH players interviews as well as DOPS? They thought it was a nothing play. So the next time Wilson is on the ice a tough guy punches him in the face (like Smith tried). So what, Panarin is still out.

Drury will pick up a bunch of nastier players for both Hartford and the big club. We’ll see if some of them can stick.
Brett Ritchie would be a cheap option, high pick, has shown non-fighting ability in the past and absolutely wrecked Khaira this year.
i’m happy the Capitals protected the Rangers players during that heated lightweight fight to start the game after the Wilson circus. The Caps sent out Carl Hagelin who fought to a draw. Thankfully the Caps big boys just looked on.
No. Not as good as Nick obviously but cheap and decent option for 4th line truculence.the wrong brother, he is not that good.
A rugged capable 6’4” 26 year old LD and a 6’1” 19 year old U. of Wisconsin Center with a little bit of bite. What’s not to love?I'm not trading away Miller just to get rid of Kreider's contract.
Rangers should have fought when the skilled guys were on the ice, imagine Smith fighting Backstrom, Rooney fighting Oshie or Sheary. send a real message. fighting other tough guys doesn't send much a message.
Don’t want a sports gambler as head coachQuinn being replaced with Tocchet wouldn’t surprise me even a little bit.
I’m probably reading too much into Mika’s comment but they strike me as someone who knows their time here is short
He had 15 goal seasons back to back. I don’t know what is going on with him now, but he did have game before. In those seasons, Wilson had 21 and 22 games and is paid 5+Exactly how this will shake out is hard to know, but nobody can rule out anything. Kassian’s money isn’t horrible and he is a legit heavy weight.
Some coke? I’m sure it’s available around New YorkWHOA... easy on the hard sell man!
Invisible, coke head???
Man do we need one of those (now that Dolan is “visible”)
Chris Kreider missed the final and most important six games of the Rangers’ season with an “impact-based injury, a lower-back issue and muscle spasms,” the winger said Monday during the team’s end-of-season media availability.
“Getting injured at the time of year that it occurred was one of the more frustrating things that I’ve ever dealt with in my pro career,” he said. “You’re in position with six games left where chips might’ve been down but I think we had some control over our own destiny if we continued winning hockey games.
“It really, really hurt, not being able to play in those two Islanders games.”
The 30-year-old added that he couldn’t get his injuries to calm down so that he could play without hindering the team.
“It ripped my heart out,” said Kreider, who finished the season with 20 goals and 10 assists, including a team-high 11 power-play goals.
