I would say this clearly means Holden will be traded.

This seems to me like they caved under the pressure of the Stepan NTC kicking in soon and wanted to be absolutely sure they had the cap space to be competitive in the Shattenkirk bidding. That's not the worst approach in the world since I was worried they would bank on Shattenkirk taking a home town discount.

Smooth skater but not the best defensive instincts. Great at puck handling, carrying, and has a good point shot - not afraid in the offensive zone.

Yeah, I don't understand how people just say "21st overall + for Duchene or McKinnon." That "+" is a pretty big factor. What other assets can we easily move out at this point? Stepan and Raanta were really the only two pieces that could be traded for value. Maybe Zuccarello?
