Keep Strome as 2C and bank that cap space. Things might get very uncomfortable next offseason and you can pounce on a superstar.

It will happen to them if they don't wise up soon when guys like Suzuki and Caufield are due. They need to let go of Tatar, Drouin, Weber (LTIR?), they wanted price gone in expansion. That is about 20-30 million right there. Sure we can get rid of kreider but be ready to attach assets to it especially if he doesn't age well.

Pettersson is a different story. I wouldn't cry losing a Kravy or Kakko if we acquired Pettersson.
I was referring to Landeskog who will want close to 7 million taking him into his down years. That's not a good long term risk to take

Players also have to sign the offer sheet, it's not like you can just throw it out there and they have to accept it. If a player really wants to stay in one location he's probably not signing an offer sheet unless it's one he's sure his current team could and would match
