Getting shut down by legendary soon to be hall of famers and Montreal legends Dave Schlemko, Jordie Benn, Don’t Know First Name He’s So Irrelevant But He’s Not Morgan Reilly, and the ghost of Shea Weber

Every criticism that I've had of Pionk (and Skjei, to an extent) -that the Rangers get outperformed in every aspect when they're out there- is the opposite for Fast. When Fast is on the ice, the Rangers do everything better than the other team.

He doesn't have the offense to match that, but when did he?
Thats good to have in a bottom six role but to play him with your #1 center? I dont think so

To be fair Montreal has been decent this year, they play fast. We just didnt ice an Nhl roster and our d made bonehead plays.

Because the coach keeps putting Fast with talented players for whatever reason. He’s a passenger.

Good news, King are only -7 games to .500 at the bottom. We'll be +1 after this game.

Matter of fact, Kreider and Hayes are the only Rangers forwards on the ice for more 5v5 Rangers goals than Fast this year. And yet, he has 9 points.

One of the things I've really become interested in recently is your share of points. Essentially, to some extent, your individual production should match your team's production when you're on the ice. There's 5 guys out there and 3 of them get points. Makes sense to me.

The thing about Pionk is that he has an alarming share of points from the Rangers goals he's out there for. It's historic, really. He can't keep that up. Similarly, Fast can't continue to be on the ice for Rangers goals and not get points.

To an extent, based on talent-level, players can drive their own points share, but to an extent. There's a lot of luck involved like with shooting percentage.
