Thats what happens when you're a bad team.

It's almost as if getting outplayed and relying on your goaltending/shootout/luck isn't a sustainable formula to winning hockey.

The injuries haven't helped, but they weren't really playing that well before them.

Remember when some of us said there wasn’t enough depth, and the defense is a tire fire, and offered those as reasons why this wasn’t a good team?

I don’t think he was ever touted as defense first.. they just talked about how he doesn’t have McDonald’s offense and he’s a good straight line skater

It's possible I'm remembering wrong, yeah, but I'm pretty sure that he was supposed to be primarily very good at defending without much offensive expectations.

I'll do a bit of research after though and see if I'm re-writing history a bit.

They were winning games and not playing badly before the injuries. When you lose 3 top 9 forwards for a team that isn't deep to begin with this shit happens. Put a healthy Buch, Zucc, and Names in this lineup and things aren't nearly as bad.

Between that and some guys just being unable to get out of their own way (see: Skjei, Brady) it's really starting to come apart at the seams. Quinn has some work to do to get these kids back to keeping it simple.
They started drifting back in their AV-habits like the low-% plays, cross-ice passes, and there were several players just in that game who at least attempted a spin-o-rama.
