Just finished watching Kantserov and Magnitka beat Traktor 5-3. Kantserov with a nice snipe goal from the mid-slot along with several other good plays and chances ending up with an empty net goal that was disallowed because of an incorrect offsides call.

Good news for the team with Silantyev returning from injury and playing on Yurov's wing and scored a goal - the coach keeping Mikhailis on the line with Kantserov and Zernov rather than re-uniting Silantyev with them. Magnitka is finally at full strength for the first time all season.

Are you russian btw or have ties otherwise? Never seen an NA guy call them Magnitka :)

That's for the thoughts about him. Sounds even better than the highlights and production. Excited for him!

He could look good with Vanacker (and Misa maybe?), hunting pucks eating other top lines if it translates.

I have never seen anyone spell his name Hegel and it’s making my eyes twitch.

Imagine what we feel as Europeans with all the butchered names and pronunciations lol.

Nope, American born and bred (Chicago). Don't know the Russian language either - but I've picked up some words by watching tons of KHL games the last 2 seasons - Kantserov and Demidov, although I don't watch many SKA/Demidov games this season. I've watched probably 19 or 20 of the 24 games Kantserov has played this season. The onhockey.tv streams are in Russian so I don't understand 99% of what's being said but it's very easy to pick out when they say Kantserov and they say his name a lot because he's always involved in the play.

The last game he played he didn't get on the scoresheet - but as usual he was impactful and his team won. He started the play on their first goal but a d-to-d pass and a front of the net deflection eliminated him from being one of the assist men. He setup an open net tip-in for his centerman (Zernov) but Zernov flubbed the shot. He drew a penalty with a quick move to the net. He makes these types of plays every game.

And there's potential good news - Silantyev was re-united with Kantserov and Zernov on the top line for the last half of the game. The guy that was moved off (Mikhailis) is a good player but Silantyev is better so if the coach keeps them together it should mean more scoring for that line.

As for Magnitka - not sure where I picked that up but I've seen it by a bunch of posters. In fact the Magnitogorsk VHL team is called Magnitka.
