To even start making sense of this thread and trying to salvage it- Whats the value of Josi alone and Saros alone? Don't add cap dumps yet. Find the general value of those 2 on the open market, then you can start working backwards into a proposal. For me personally, I think Saros is worth 2 later firsts or a single first around 10th overall. Not sure what reasonable Josi value is.

Age is a big factor in this . Also goalies don’t return a lot.

Saros is probably worth a 1st plus a B prospect. So I would offer Campbell + 2023 1st + 2025 1st + 2024 2nd + B prospect. The 2025 pick and the 2nd is to dump Campbell .

I'm not really familiar with the "state" of the Predators, or if you guys are planning on throwing in the towel and rebuilding., or if Josi would even waive his NMC to come to Edmonton.

But for shits n giggles, what would be the ask (assuming you were rebuilding and not wanting Draisaitl).

Honestly Campbell is probably not tradeable at this point so take him completely out of the deal. Take out Saros as he’s a big return by himself. Then add a lot more assets if you want Josi. That’s at least a start.

IF (huge if) the Preds decided to shop Josi for a futures based package with a rebuild in mind, it would likely have to include the following:

1 of Broberg/Bouchard
1 of Holloway/Borgault
2023 1st
2024 1st

Then add some contracts going the other way to make the money work.

I would much rather have Josi than Karlsson. But again, don’t see the Preds doing something that extreme.
